Highly recommend Pragma Jiu Jitsu! I started last week with a no gi class and then tried a gi jiu jitsu class this week. I immediately felt welcomed and not intimidated by the professor or any of the other students. My husband has been attending for a year now and I just decided to try it out.Great community of people! Definitely give it a try!

Fantastic place to train your body & mind. I’ve been coming for close to a year now and my days are always better after a class at Pragma. Great community, and Professor Daniel is exceptional. Our 4yo boy trains here too and loves it. Everyone is very respectful and here to learn and have fun.

I have got trained multiple Jiu Jitsu gyms so far. I bet Pragma is the best gym. Hard training, Nice people, Good instruction from Professor Daniel. I made my 8-year old son also started Jiu Jitsu a year ago and he has liked it in Pragma gym so far and he has become stronger. My wife is doing women kick boxing class waiting for kids Jiu Jitsu class. It is a good time managing system. I strongly recommend to just come and bring all your family to this gym and keep your family healthy!

My boys and I started our BJJ journey almost 10 months ago. We were in search of a gym we could train at and ended up finding so much more. We knew this would be our home from the first time we stepped on the mat. Professor Daniel has mastered balancing an environment for competition and friendship.

My two kids absolutely love Pragma jujitsu! The professor is exceptional - he’s patient, dedicated, and truly encourages everyone to learn and grow. It’s been an amazing experience for our family. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn jujitsu in a supportive environment.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I did my trial class. Let me just say after that first class, I was hooked. Professor Daniel is great very professional, knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable that first class. Professor has pushed me to my limits to make me better and be more confident in myself. My first few weeks the upper belts really helped by keeping up my confidence and encouraging me not to give up. I now train at least 4 times a week. The atmosphere here is amazing, it truly is a family and I couldn’t be happier to be apart of the Pragma family!

This is the best BJJ school in central Texas. Professor Daniel is great with the kids and the adults both. It’s not a bully factory, the gym has a fun family feel to it and Professors Daniel and Chris literally bring world class level instruction. Also no stupid contracts or limits to number of classes you can take per week. Best professors and best value for money. Would never train anywhere else.

My 7yo had his first official martial arts training here last week. Its especially tough cuz he was introduced to take the class on his trial day, full on. Having been taught never to lay a hand on someone, especially girls, let alone pushing and grabbing, along with tumbling is still a learning process, but mostly positive. Its most difficult because he doesnt know what the martial arts is about. I even dont. Its not anout a knock out or hurting. He learns a move a day and may be repetitive the following day. But its not like karate where you might learn a move, repeat that quick motion, and move on. It had to be learned and almost instinctual. There are steps to follow for the move to be purposeful. Its difficult for my kid amongst others to comprehend and learn and that I (and theirs) need to pay attention from the narrow seating area to recreate at home to get the most of the teaching. Overall a good experience. Waiting to experience the Texas heat in the small space with large attendance.Btw, if you want "Brazilian" Jiu Jitsu, you'll get the emersive accent and light language barrier if you can handle it. Quite authentic culturally in this small local business. They seem to be very people loving, relaxed, yet strict with their dojo behavior as expected. I would actually appreciate more obedience and respect training like original japanese jiu jitsu.

Before I had to move, I really enjoyed my experience at Pragma. The BJJ instructor, Professor Daniel, went out of his way to improve my BJJ game. Most importantly, he loves this sport to death and spends a lot of time and effort to make sure everyone is learning and getting better.

Professor Daniel is a phenomenal martial arts instructor. He knows his stuff. He does a good job teaching it. He has a true passion for BJJ, and a calling to teach it. He pushes you to work hard, but also is very encouraging of your success. He knows how to keep learning fun for the kids and engaging for the adults.I'm brand new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but I've been doing martial arts for half of my life. I know what makes for a good coach. Professor Daniel checks all of the boxes and then some!

A wonderful place for both children and adults to get in a great work out while also learning self defense and patience. You come for the Jiu Jitsu and stay for the people and culture. Professor Daniel is a natural leader and his positive attitude and demeanor is replicated by everyone around him.- ChildrenAfter calling around a few different places, I decided that I liked the demeanor of the owner and gave Pragma a try. When I arrived, to my surprise there were probably a dozen or more kids finishing up their class with a dodgeball game. Quickly I noticed the six-foot tall Brazilian fellow leading the children. As a father myself it warmed my heart to see how well Professor Daniel was with the kids and how well the children responded to him. There's almost a familial bond between him and the kids. If you're looking for a family friendly place to take your children to help them learn self-defence and confidence, this is the place for you.- AdultsLike I said above, I called and researched many of the local gyms and this was the one I settled on. I had two primary goals; take my workout routine to the next level, and knock the dust off of my BJJ skills that I acquired in the Army. I'd say the initial primary reason that I chose Pragma was that the other gyms were slow to respond and when they did they were nowhere near as friendly as Pragma. After my first few classes I found that the patience and friendliness was not transitory. I've lost track of how many times Professor Daniel has given me positive feedback, which meant a great deal because it is a lot of work. I'm about a month and a half in and I've noticed my body starting to change for the better, even though I did weight training and cardio regularly before I started attending. The class largely consists of about fifteen minutes of warmup, half an hour of practicing new techniques, and about fifteen minutes of sparring (no striking). By the time you're done you will be likely exhausted, but in case you're not there are always people hanging around after class is over to spar with. I would suggest any adult, male or female, give this a chance because you will look and feel better, with the added bonus of learning the martial art that basically built the UFC.See you there!

Learning something new in your mid 30s is never an easy undertaking. Professor Daniel and the entire community surrounding Pragma Jiu Jitsu have been very open and welcoming in my journey. Classes are always a challenging with an emphasis on technique and safety.
