This place is still popping and gets busy in the evenings. We stopped by to check out membership, the pool, child care and programs they offered. I used to be a member of the YMCA and I liked that I could work out early in the morning (they open at 5am). It is convenient they have child care options later in the morning while you work out just not that early at 5am. There is a pool and they offer swimming lessons there. They have volleyball and basketball programs going. Definitely a family friendly place.

To start, this is specific to the Hutto location. I consider this to be one of the worst locations in the YMCA network. For a non-profit organization, I'm shocked they charge so much for "memberships". For the amount they get, there aren't enough activities for the teenage kids to warrant it. A one-off visit perhaps, when the kids are bored during the summer but there are plenty of other things to spend money on that provide more entertainment. The staff are surprisingly rude over the phone but I guess if you don't enjoy dealing with kids, that's to be expected. And it's a little funny that you can sign up AND pay online but when you want to cancel, they make you come in person to complete "paperwork".

Visited the Hutto Y for a virtual class. Very easy to find, clean, new. Lots of cardio and fitness machines and ample space for group classes. The cycling room is pretty small and it is smaller than Round Rock Y, but plenty of space. I will definitely return.

Nice center for family. Pool had a lot of debris for an inside pool. Gym is decent and there is indoor basketball.

This place is so nice! Me and my family went here for the pools and it's so relaxing. There's a jacuzzi, heated pool, lap section, and a water slide for the kiddos! We had a blast and definitely will be coming back.

I like it here but I can never get my 2 year old into child watch. Therefore I've pretty much stopped going. Will be cancelling this month. I like the sauna

My husband and I really needed to get back into an exercise program after we just stopped going to the rec center when COVID hit.As seniors, our insurance covers the application and monthly fee at the YMCA, so I thought I would check it outMarla gave us a tour of the facility and explained to get signed up and gave us the paperwork.Today I took my first water aerobics class and my husband used treadmill. Very friendly, helpful staff!

I do not recommend this YMCA for youth sports. It is completely disorganized, poor or last minute communication and no accountability. My child has been so disappointed the entire season. Games/tournaments were canceled and never rescheduled. And all we got was a we're sorry but here's $20 off next season! Next season? What about this one where we missed out on playing 3 maybe 4 games. Where is our refund for that? Look elsewhere for youth sports or prepare for your own stress and kiddos disappointment.

Charged me over $240 the first month. The child care is horribly run by teenage girls who have no idea what they're doing. They called me 7 minutes into my kid being there and when I went to pick her up she was covered in throw up and they didn't even clean her up. Not worth the money and I didn't have peace of mind leaving my child there after that.

Great facility to get fit for the summer. Not too crowded. Free weights and smith machines. Treadmills and stationary bikes. Even a spin theater. Indoor basketball court but very restrictive open gym hours is the negative I have. Staff is super friendly and very helpful.

I had a terrible experience with the YMCA swimming lifeguard who is usually on shift on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Not only was he unprofessional, but he was also incredibly rude to my kids. Despite my kids having received swimming training, the lifeguard refused to allow them to swim and made derogatory comments about their abilities. To make matters worse, the lifeguard seemed disinterested in their job and was more focused on chatting with their friends than ensuring the safety and enjoyment of the swimmers. When I tried to discuss the issue with the lifeguard, he was dismissive and unhelpful. As a parent, I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with the behavior of the YMCA swimming lifeguard. It's unacceptable for a lifeguard to discriminate against children and be unprofessional on the job. I would caution other parents to avoid visiting the pool on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons while this lifeguard is on duty.

I drop off my kid from 11-12pm, there was 3 staff members at that time, they have my kid seating down because the only thing my kid was able to do was dance. They didn't have any other choices for them to do, and they have an indoor playground. Hopefully staff and manager can give the kids more choices " punishment for not dancing" "that's wrong". I pay money for my kids to be happy too.

I've been a member since before the new location first opened so I'm obviously happy. The staff is friendly. The equipment and facility are very good. It is a wonderful gym for families. My 14 year old loves it here. I wish there was a designated stretch area, but this is only a problem when it's overcrowded which is not all the time. The childcare has an early sign up system which I appreciate because it keeps the staff to child ratio to an appropriate number, however the infant room fills up very quickly so if I miss the first hour or 2 of sign up, I don't get to work out for the day. But overall great gym for families, I recommend.
