Our recent order of two pieces of chicken mandi from Desi District Irving left us feeling underwhelmed. While the chicken pieces were passable, the rice was a major letdown. Overcooked and lacking in flavor, it failed to live up to our expectations. To make matters worse, we were surprised to discover a $1 charge for mayonnaise. This seemed excessive for a condiment that is typically provided complimentary at many establishments, leaving a sour taste in our mouths—both figuratively and literally. Overall, our dining experience was far from satisfactory. The lackluster quality of the rice overshadowed any positives, and the unexpected charge for mayonnaise only added to our disappointment. Desi District Irving has some improvements to make, both in terms of food quality and pricing practices, if they hope to win over customers in the future.

The food options were great. Variety of options to choose from. Reminded me of restaurants in India with the vibe of the place. Stuffed mirchi bajji and schezwan fried rice was so flavorful and tasty. Loved the rabdi tiramisu. They have special offers for late night pick up and best part its open till 12am which made it easy for people like me who was traveling late.

Listing to people saying about *Desi District* Irving, yesterday is my day for a dinner. when we walk in look around we feel like good ambience, well crowded dining. Falling into the line for couple of minutes its our turn so we both decided to go for veg this time as I am completely vegetarian. When it comes to food, our order is bit quick very ordinary food and we weren't feeling the taste what we ordered for with the starters. In few minutes we are called for the main course, food on my plate in a bite or two I have to force myself to eat I only ate because I knew I needed to, and it was hard. Finally when we are about to exit to make ourself satisfactory, we decided to order Irani chai to take back my impression that's already inside me, after a sip I am clear that my judgment is right *Most disappointing*

Stay away from this place for good health. Recently we ordered biriyani on Thursday afternoon. It was horrible and very stale. Waste of time and money.

Go only if you want to waste your money. Worst food, not worth the hype at all.

What's good: biryaniWhat's not good: kati rolls, chilli paneer, vadaThey don't give sambar with vada and the chutneys are not at all good.Kati rolls bread is too thick.Chili paneer is paneer and onion in ketchup.Biryani has nice flavor and rice is cooked to perfection. It's too noisy, so only take to go.

"Desi District provides a welcoming environment for dining, but there's a notable oversight in addressing customer feedback on food quality. Introducing feedback channels like a complaint box or actively engaging with customers could significantly enhance improvement efforts. While the Chicken Mandi impressed, the Goat Mandi consistently disappoints with undercooked meat. Despite repeated visits, this issue remains unaddressed by the staff. Urging Desi District to promptly rectify this to uphold their reputation for quality cuisine." Lastly, in case if you pressure cook Goat meat 2 whistles extra petu bossu"..

Desi District exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance was vibrant and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food - absolutely divine! Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors, transporting me straight to the streets of India. Whether it was the butter chicken, the paneer tikka, or the biryani, every bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The menu boasts a wide variety of options, catering to every palate. And the best part? The prices are incredibly affordable, making it accessible for everyone to indulge in high-quality Indian cuisine.I must commend the staff for their exceptional service. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection.Overall, Desi District is a gem of a restaurant that deserves all the praise it receives. Food is amazing, very quick service. Visited quite a lot of Indian restaurants in Houston but I have to admit this restaurant is the best if you want to taste an authentic Indian

Mutton biryani doesn't even have any flavour of biryani or near to that.. food seemed to be stale. Mandi tasted like fried rice. Haleem was ok. Overall it's a bad experience.

Food was fresh & great. The ambience was good and it was kind of busy when I visited. I ordered a couple of vegetarian dishes and they were delicious . Cashiers have some good knowledge about the dishes and were very friendly.
