My recent rental car experience was a total mess. There was only one person working, and they seemed clueless. Waiting times were ridiculously long, and the service was terrible. The employee didn't care, and it felt like they had no idea what they were doing. Don't bother renting from here unless you enjoy wasting time and being frustrated.

Let's start here. I got there at 12:55pm CST & finally was able to leave at 3:00pm CST. When I walked in, there were others already complaining they have waited almost 2 hours. The kicker is, there was no issue with vehicle availability. It was the agent & her priorities. As one customer had to look up insurance info, she waits there with them until they get it which took this customer quite a while in which the agent could have taken the next guest as she waits for the other. That too about 35 mins sitting doing nothing. Same thing happens for the next customer. She also said it is required to show proof of insurance to rent a car. I worked for hertz 10 years & that was never a requirement. Next customer has an issue with the type of car, as he debated which vehicle for almost 30 mins, she sat there & waited with him as he spoke to his partner there with him, the agent still did not help the next guest in the mean time. Finally, my turn... I specifically booked a Tesla Model. She said there was an issue that the car was showing on another persons contract & it had to be released before she can add it to mine. I'm not exaggerating about these time frames, it took her about 40 minutes & she still had me waiting stating there is still an issue. I stated to her that I too had worked for hertz in the past & in this situation I would offer the customer a different vehicle so they can get going or a temporary different vehicle & they could do an exchange at any location available. She was not happy with my advice until finally I broke down crying & pleading for any car just to leave. There was 2 customers behind me soooooo upset (I got their numbers so they can confirm also how horrible of an experience we all had) I was in real tears sobbing & finally she said "here just take this" Another electric vehicle that has barely any charging stations along the way to Tennessee where I am headed. It's both the same charging port as Tesla so they don't have as many ports for charging which is a HUGE & scary inconvenience since I have a 10 hour drive. I did not get her name but she was an African American young lady. The worst part, she called to get authorization on my credit card form HER PERSONAL PHONE. the other customer was more upset for me. I had had it at that point. I was already so livid about wasted time & the car. I had no more fight. I'm overly livid how much time I was robbed of & also not getting a car that I specifically booked. I know how bookings work. It could be "or similar" This wasn't my situation. I booked to have a Tesla. It's its own car class. The tiny skinny black girl with fake lashes has noooooooo respect for anyone & their time. Rude af! I've emailed corporate about her & this experience & im not backing down. I will reach out to corporate everyday until this is resolved

Only one agent and 11 ppl waiting. This is disgusting honestly. Super disgusting and unacceptable. Poor the only guys working here. I feel bad for Him

Rented an electric vehicle from them the other day. Piss poor customer service on the phone and in person. If you like walking into a location and being ignored for 15 minutes before a skinny black lady with fake eyelashes rolls her eyes and says in an annoyed way "can I help you?", then you've found your spot...but for me, not a good start...was I being ignored because I'm Asian? Anyway, I return my rental in pristine condition, on time, and with a greater battery charge than it had when I received the car, and what do I find in my receipt? Yup, charged for extra hours/day even though I was there on time. So, I had to take the time to call Hertz's 1-800 number to straighten everything out (and give them feedback about this abysmal location). If you're thinking about renting here, don't, just don't do it. Enterprise at DFW Airport has amazing customer service. There's no reason to rent at this Hertz unless you absolutely have to...and even then, it's probably better to just walk.

Wrost service ever had with hertz, they gave me the wrong car with all dust and urine smell, with all this the cleaning guy and manager was soo rude to me when I asked them about the car cleaniness.

If I could give this review a zero, I totally would. This place is horrible! We waited an hour and a half for our car that was promised to us in 30 minutes. While we were waiting, we saw several people get to go ahead of us straight from the counter. No offer was made to us to upgrade so that we could get a car right away. No compensation was offered for our horribly long wait and after a long day of travel, it's the last thing you want to be doing. Customer service was nonexistent. And there were 30+ people waiting for their cars also that had been there just about as long as we had been. when we did finally get our car, it was dirty from the previous drivers, with a quarter of a tank of gas in the car. We are now the proud owners of a single black sock that was left in the back of the car Do yourself a favor and don't go!

Sure rent me a car when my flight is arriving at 11:30pm and you close at 10pm. How is this even possible?! The only response from customer service is we'll be back at 6am.

I'm a college head coach. We were going to split up our team with a small number of us to head out to Abilene for a meet so we rented a SUV vehicle (per university rules) through this location to transport us there. I made the reservation a few days earlier as I did it over the phone with an agent at there site. The day before the meet I get there to pick up the vehicle and the guy said they didn't have an SUB vehicle for us saying the airport took them. So now what? So we had to do some serious damage control and spent several more hours trying to figure out what to do. By the grace of God, after calling up so many businesses, the Enterprise in Grapevine had an SUV. Oh yea, Hertz still charged us. They still freaking charged us. I had to call up corporate to take care of that.

I gave this rent a car place 1 star because I was not able to give it a half star. unfriendly people who are lazy and mean. this place just sucks. advise you to stay away.

I reserved a car at Dollar car rental. I was told that once I checked in , the wait would be over an hour. This location is very unorganized with poor customer service. They need a better system for having car available for customers. This is totally unacceptable! Counter staff are outside taking cigarette breaks after excorting " express " customers out. But, what about customers with reservations? Are we not important to Dollar? I've rented from Dollar in other cities and I've never experienced anything like this before. I will be late for an event that's starting at 7 pm because of waiting for a reserved car.

DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW IS REALLY FOR THE ARLINGTON TOYOTA LOCATION BUT IT'S NOT AVAILABLE ONLINE SO THIS WILL DO. The one star isn't for the service, the car, or the online reservation, but for their terrible eCommerce department. I had a car I rented to get my car repaired. Then a ice storm hit Dallas and caused me to rent another week. Well they wouldn't let me use the discount and they stuck it to me. The second week was twice as much as the first. Then when it came time to return the car, they never released the holds on my accounts. They had the nerve to blame my bank account as if my bank is the one who put the charges there. SMH. To make it worse they did multiple charges on my account. I almost overdraft like four times. It's been weeks since I returned the car and it's still on there. And after calling and asking for a manager, they blocked my number. I should have just went to enterprise. First time ever going to Hertz, and after this terrible experience, I'll never use them again.

On Saturday Feb 4th. 8:30 PM I arrived to the airport and down to Dollar Rent. I waited in the section for assistance. No acknowledgment. The young lady saw me and put her head back down. She showed no interest in helping me at all. I asked her if she can help and she snapped saying "that's what I said" not sure what she was implying. I addressed her attitude and she quickly denied me service. She said she's not helping me. A Caucasian man walked up and she addressed him kindly. I've never in my life felt discriminated against. I never felt so out of place ever. My young daughter had to watch this and it was beyond me, that I cried . I am in the process of getting an attorney. The employees name is "Hazel" and her rude manager who would care less was "Jazmine" I feel they lied about their own names !

Reservation for pick up today with a reservation number . Received a call from a rude unhelpful arrogant man saying there was no inventory and he had no idea when there would be . He also said he was giving me a courtesy call instead he could have just let me come in to find out there was none . So he felt he was doing me a favor . He need to not have a job

We rented a Dollar Rent a Car in Maui last week and it was absolutely the worst car ever!!! It was totally beat to death and the back window would not shut and it was filthy. We paid way too much for what we received.

After a 5 hour flight I show up at Dollar and omg the line was literally out the door. Only 2 people working the counter. I used my phone to book at Avis where there was no line. Rediculous!
