I have a monster problem with hertz. I have ClearCover car insurance and had an auto mishap and required a rental, per my package, although it was perfectly OK to get from another company (enterprise) I need to pay up front, I'm going broke. 8/23 I asked for and got a confirm reservation number, AND HAVE YET TO GET WHAT IM SUPPOSED TO ALREADY HAVE RESERVED. I was just informed they finally have a car for me. Is this any way to provide a service?

Hertz's vehicle broke down while driving. Leaving my 2 year old, 5 month old and wife stranded while I rode with the car in a tow truck to the service center. I dropped the car off and the service manager drove me over to the rental car place.
The vehicle I was driving was a Chevrolet Equinox, the desk said my reservation is for a standard sedan (as a gold, five star you arrive and find your name listed on a board and choose from the lot/location next to your name). They then assigned me a sedan that was too small for two car seats, luggage, a stroller, etc. I told them I need a Equinox or larger, especially since that's what I already was driving.
The agent and manager both said there is nothing they can do for me. They saw me as a number on a screen or just another account. Showed no empathy or even a hint of care to help me in finding something or offering assistance in anyway.
My rental is still active and I do not even have a vehicle with them. I can't get anyone from the actual rental place on the phone. All the customer service is automated and when you speak with a real person they transfer you all over the place because they don't know what to do or don't want to handle the situation.
This is the poorest customer service I've ever experienced.

Get a phone so we can lodge complaints and actually be heard and not have our complaints sitting in someone's inbox never to be addressed.

No one was in the front offices. Had to call , to get instructions where to go pick up a vehicle.

Worst experience EVER! Rented car on Tuesday to pick up on Sat. Was told to show up early.. arrived and was told.. No car was available...Lot was FULL!! Was told people had rented months in advance and could not let their rentals go...RIDICULOUS....NEVER WILL RENT HERTZ AGAIN! Made us late for several appts.

I used the location on Camp Bowie in West Fort Worth and it was so disorganized. I waited for an hour for my car that I paid for 6 weeks in advance and it wasn’t available at my pickup time so they asked me to come back and I did. I waited another 2.5 hours and still didn’t get the car that I paid for and had to put off my travel by a day because of the 2 delays. When we finally settled for something that they had available it was dirty so I asked them to wash it and they did…. Another delay. Since we didn’t get the level of car that we paid for I was told that I would get a credit back on my card when I returned it.When I returned it they said since I had prepaid for the car rental the best that they could do was give me a credit off another rental within 6 months. I told them that I wouldn’t be renting again that soon and they said that’s the best they could do. I spoke to a supervisor finally after several attempts and no luck there either. They offered a similar deal and nothing more.The story goes on but I won’t rent from them again. I disputed it with my credit card company, I sent in the paperwork and they sent it to Hertz for the charges, I received a letter back weeks later saying it was resolved and Hertz is still sending out bills. What a scam. My CC company said that if they put it on my credit report then it would be a false claim and they could get in trouble because it was resolved………..

Gold Star and waiting an hour for a car that is not here. You reserve a car weeks in advance and I have a trip next week back to DFW. I am changing my car rental on all trips to another vendor.
