I worked with John and his team (Jenny and Georgina) on my wife's green card process. Despite the uncertain political environment regarding immigration policies, John got the job done, and we received the approval notice in the mail 6 months after filing. They went above and beyond, and answered all of our questions before, during, and after the process. In addition, every concern we had was addressed, and we always felt more than comfortable giving John's team a call when we had a question. I will definitely be hiring John again once we go to apply for citizenship.

Called to ask about cost for immigration filing. Was told that I would have to pay $150 just to find out the cost.
FOLLOW UP: John W. Lawit, LLC replied below saying that's a "normal" fee. Don't believe it! I called two other places, and neither one wanted to charge money just to talk to them. Called my ex-wife who has gone thru the immigration process with 2 relatives. Neither of their lawyers charged a "pay-to-talk-to-us" fee. The place we went with spent the 10-minutes it took to discuss our case, what we needed, and the fees. They didn't charge us a dime for the consult!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Lawit in person seven years ago. I was very impressed with his responsiveness and understanding of immigration laws. I was a bit skeptical to go in first since, I have never met any immigration attorney. But my doubts were cleared in the first meeting itself. He listened to me and gave me advice with patience and consideration.
The attorney and staff are very professional, empathetic and great to work with. Mr. Lawit and his team are the reason that I finally got my GC approved.
