As a former teacher here, I wouldn’t put my two children anywhere else! This is a great Montessori school that truly prioritizes both education and the well-being of children. The cleanliness, quality of teachers, structure, and academics are unmatched. My daughter has been here since she was 16 months old and is now 3. My son, who is 10 months, just started two weeks ago, and the care and attention he receives in the infant room have made his adjustment so much easier! I’ve looked all over for a school closer to my home, but making the 30-minute drive to Kinwest every day is absolutely worth it.

Our daughter went to kinwest since she was 18 months old. we had positive experience with all the classes she was in. We moved her here from another daycare. We liked kinwest a lot. I think they had right amount of activities for kids to get engaged throughout the day compared to other regular daycare. I also like the fact it's Montessori where they teach practical and day to day life task. It made my life little easier at home when she learnt basic simple task of washing hands, keeping things away after playing, cleaning up after her, fixing her blankets, and so on. They have extra curriculum activity included in the tuition like yoga, music class, spanish class, gardening. She went here for over a year and we moved to different place so we had to leave otherwise we would definitely continue to stay here.
I thank all the teachers that helped her learn and grow.

We started sending our daughter here at three months and my wife and I really enjoy it. Our baby girl is happy every day when we pick up and drop off. Very clean, very friendly staff, and the two infant caregivers are excellent with her. Our daughter is on schedule, always smiling, and this has made our transition that much better. Highly recommend.

As a first time mom putting my three month old in daycare was so hard. It was nerve wracking and one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to in order to get back to work. Kinwest infant class and caregivers have made me feel so much more at ease. The attention to detail, the human connection, the cleanliness, and the caregivers in the infant class, I am BEYOND happy to have enrolled her here. We toured many daycares and the comfort of knowing my baby is being treated with love and given so much attention, makes me recommend the infant class over and over. Thank you guys so much for making this an easier transition for me. If you are thinking about enrolling your baby and making this hard move, I recommend touring and choosing this daycare!

"We have had a wonderful experience at Kinwest Montessori Academy with our daughters, Anaya and Amyra. The atmosphere here is calm and inviting, a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle often found in other schools. One aspect we particularly appreciate is the individual attention each student receives. The one-on-one focus ensures that Anaya and Amyra are not just learning, but truly understanding and engaging with the material. Additionally, the staff's kindness and professionalism make a significant difference. They are not only educators but also caring individuals who genuinely invest in the students' well-being. This environment fosters not only academic growth but also personal development, making Kinwest Montessori Academy an exceptional choice for any family."

Kinwest Montessori is hands down the best daycare/Montessori academy in the Irving area. Others we checked out in the vicinity are Wonderland,Ivy, Rockbrook and New Age Montessori. I will give a detailed review for Wonderland and Kinwest the big 2 near us. Our elder one went to Wonderland & younger one is in Kinwest. Kinwest is outright the superior school.Comparison between Kinwest and Wonderland Montessori (valley Ranch):1. Fee: Wonderland Montessori is way more expensive. Both schools are not easily affordable for an average income household.2. Teachers: Kinwest has the best teacher to handle kids of younger age. Miss Marissa is the stand out, she is absolutely fantastic when it comes toddlers. Like a mother, full of love I have not seen a better primary caregiver than her in any school. Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Abby, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Joselyn, Kinwest have extremely patient and caring teachers. In comparison Wonderland have teachers like Ms. Megumi, Ms. Kaur, Ms. Madhu (left) etc., who were extremely good, but without any disservice to them, the school had a general philosophy of prioritizing independence over child care (such as not insisting the child to finish their food, not assisting them to drink milk) etc. While both schools enabled our kids to be independent the Montessori way, idiosyncrasies of a child (or tantrums specific to child) were handled much better by Kinwest and that's why I feel its the best school in the vicinity. They tend to individual kid's needs much better in conjunction with making them highly independent. This was severely lacking in Wonderland were all kids were put in the same bucket. (My kids ate much better at Kinwest than Wonderland)3. Safety and Video Surveillance:Both schools have extremely strict safety measures with video surveillance. But Wonderland edged out with a much better security system capable of handling unthinkable crazy gun situations while Kinwest is yet to foolproof for crazy situations.4. Video/Photo of child:Wonderland earns their buck here as they take periodic pictures/Videos of your young ones in between classes and activities (until 2 years). We felt like we were a part of our toddler lives at wonderland. This is lacking in Kinwest and if they can do something similar, they will be the indisputable preferred choice for montessori in the vicinity.5. Language and general Learning: Kinwest is easily the better teaching school. BY 2 years there is a significant difference in the spoken English, alphabet identification and numeral identification between the two schools. The teachers work much harder at Kinwest and their methods are giving better results. That said, Wonderland had a better well-rounded secondary language program for toddlers (Spanish).6. Craft and Play time: Both the schools are adequately equipped to teach crafts and innovative fun time. There are songs, dances, sensory toys, halloween cards, July 4 flags etc. Both schools work hard in keeping the kids super-engaged.7. Cleanliness and Environment:Both schools were extremely hygienic and clean, Kinwest is much more spacious than Wonderland and the kids feel like they are in a castle. In comparison, Wonderland felt more like a house, a little too cramped.8. Lunch Program:Wonderland had a lunch service as well as snack, that's good for working parents but was bad for the kids. Their lunch was mostly junk food with milk/juice (menu could have changed). Combine this with the teachers going the complete Montessori way of making the child independent, you were left with hungry kids or kids eating unhealthy food.(better to send lunch if you want them to eat healthy). Kinwest allows you to order for lunch for working parents or send lunch. The big upside is, they worked harder to ensure your kids are eating.9. Customer Service/Desk Service: Kinwest has patient friendly people working on the desk, particularly Ms.Janice who is pleasant, very professional & extremely responsible when it comes to information regarding the child. I highly recommend Kinwest as your goto Montessori place.

We have had a combination of our kids at Kinwest since I believe 2019 and have had kids in their toddler, primary, and elementary rooms (and now their new baby room). This has been a great school for all kids -- and I have no doubt our kids' ability to read at an early age and their love of math is thanks to the skills and strategies taught at Kinwest. Their staff is caring and the kids LEARN! This has been an excellent foundation for our kiddos as they progress to other elementary schools and we couldn't be more grateful to have found this school. Thank you, Kinwest!!

My 2 year old goes to kinwest in the transitional 2s class. We have had a good experience so far, this was his first school experience and being born during COVID times he didn’t have much social interaction with other kids outside of family before starting. The staff made the transition to start school easy, and I’ve seen a difference in him already!

Our daughter has been attending Kinwest Montessori for over a year now. She started when she was two and we cant express how much she has learned within this past year. She had a home sitter prior to starting Montessori so we were definitely skeptical about trying out Kinwest based off the reviews. I do agree with a lot of the comments. They definitely don't have the best customer service. They aren't very friendly, both Mita and Ellen are very DIRECT but once you get past that they definitely have the best interest for your child. Ms. Nancy who is one of the lead teachers for Toddlers was absolutely AMAZING!! She is the reason we chose to go with Kinwest. We did a trial day with our daughter and Nancy made her feel so welcomed and comfortable. She never cried when she was being dropped off so that was a good sign for us. A year later she is thriving and has been moved up to a Primary Classroom. The school itself is a little outdated and honestly needs some remodeling compared to other Montessori schools in the area but overall we are very happy we chose Kinwest and our daughter is doing amazing!

I personally would not recommend this school based on the 2 experiences I had. Went to do a visit in 2018 for my oldest child and felt rushed through the walk through. Didn't feel as though I could ask questions without getting short answers. Heard from a friend that they like it there and haven't had any issues, so I thought I'd give it another chance. I Was told to come by to speak with the director any time before 1, I did, never did they say make an appointment. I asked about a specific teachers availability, since she was recommended. The lady I spoke with in person said she would check her availability and told me I would get a call back once she checked. I never received a call back. I had 2 bad experiences 2 different years in a row, would not recommend this Montessori based on that.

I was really hopeful about this school because of the posted curriculum and great reviews from family and friends. However, when I called to schedule a visit, the person who answered was extremely rude. I brushed it off and went ahead to visit. As we toured the school with the director Mita, she increasingly became rude, aggressive and condescending as we pressed for answers to some very basic questions like - how often do you disinfect the classroom, change diapers, where do you cater food from, etc. We also asked if we could see the daily schedule to which she told us we were not entitled to until we enrolled. Towards the end, she also determined that she would be "teaching" me how to pack a lunch for my daughter because she assumed I would only be packing carbs for her. What?! I don't even know where that assumption came from. The nail in the coffin was when I could see how intimidated the teachers were in her presence, and how rude she was to them right in front of us. It definitely made me question what kind of values and manners my child would be exposed to. I am very thankful that we didn't enroll my daughter in this school.

One of the good schools in Irving area with a variety in curriculum. Love this school. My kid was here since age of 1.5 and I really love the classrooms, staffs, big play area ,library, gym and so on.

I must say, I was really nervous to visit this school after reading the google reviews. I called and scheduled the tour. Ellen took me around the facility and talked to me about the activities, the Montessori method and curriculum. She answered my list of questions even when I came back the second time with more. I asked for a meeting with the Director and some time to spend in the classroom and the one on one with the kids potential teachers and they let me schedule that as well. So far the experience has gone well. I am transitioning my kids to a new school after they have been at their current school since they were babies, so making sure I make the right choice is very important to me. I like the variety in their programs offered for kids to be well rounded and have a strong foundation to build on. Hopefully i can remember to post again after they have been enrolled in the program a while. I don't think any school is perfect, but from what I have experienced so far with Kinwest they are off to a good start in my book. Hope this was helpful to someone.9/2/2016 UpdateMy kids started at Kinwest yesterday. They have been awesome. I sat with the Director the day before and she talked to me about the school-encouraged me on how much they would learn and how they will spend this initial time bonding with my boys. She seemed excited to have them join the family. My twenty month old's teacher has called me at noon each day to tell me how he was adjusting the first couple of days.My four year old seems to be adjusting as well. Excited about his class and the new things he is learning. The staff has been so helpful getting us all setup. They have made the experience of transitioning my kids to a new school a breeze.

We love Kinwest Montessori Academy. Wonderful, caring teachers and staff. It's my son's last year there (he is 9) and I know he will miss the nurturing environment, but my daughter will continue for a few more years. I honestly call KMA - home away from home for our pupils.
