I’m happy to give my home gym 4 Gold stars. The recent improvements, especially on the main gym floor are outstanding and I really like the PRT class. Patrick pushes me harder than I would normally exercise. Plus, I’m using muscles and parts of my body that normally don’t get challenged. I highly recommend PRTI love Tyler’s Saturday morning spin/Cycle class. She’s one of the best! If my 90 year old friend, Alan, can consistently get to the gym with his wife, what’s your excuse?! We have a lot of fun and get it done.. Security appears to be much improved, especially after some of the vandalism a year ago. The cleaning crew is doing a good job keeping things picked up Good work to the new management and keep it up!

Them getting ready rid of the basketball court was a major hell no for me???….

They've recently removed the basketball court for a training facility that you need to pay extra to access. I joined specifically for the basketball court, which was heavily used, and find it pretty distasteful to replace the court with a feature that nobody seems to have asked for or want.

Not saying I've been to every LA Fitness in the nation, but I can guarantee that this is the worst one by far. I've been a member for over 10 years, and typically love the gyms, but not this one. The main issues....It is missing 4 barbells. I've been coming to this gym roughly 2 years now, and in that time they have never gotten around to replacing the 4 missing bars. That means there are 4 stations (squat racks, bench presses, shoulder presses) that are unusable because management doesn't care to replace equipment. Not only that, they are severly lacking 10s, 25s, and 45s making it hard to even find weight after you get a barbell. This issue is compounded by my next issue...The gym is overcrowded 90% of the time. And by over crowded I mean people are within an arms lengths of each other across the gym floor. If you enjoy people standing on top of you or walking in your path while you're trying to lift, this is the gym for you. This was especially fun during COVID because no one wore masks, or tried to distance. This is where gym etiquette goes to die. People leave their weights everywhere except where they are supposed to go. If you need a dumbbell, get ready to play hide-and-seek to figure out where someone left the other one. If you want to bench or squat you get a warm up from taking off the last persons weights, how thoughtful of them! People here stink. Like really bad. Imagine trying to do your last few squat reps, out of breath and getting a warm mouthful of the passerby's BO. You're probably not finishing your set after that. People will hold up equipment without using it. I once saw this girl set her stuff down at a squat rack and go do 2 exercises from machines, just making sure no one could use the squat rack till she wanted it. Please don't be that person. There's an excess of grunters and slammers, but thats par for the course. The staff isn't too big of a deal. They rarely greet or say goodbye, but I'm a big boy and I'll get over it. There was a guy vaccumming once that literally was vacuuming the squat rack WHILE I WAS SQUATTING. That really pissed me off, but it only happened once so whatever. To summarize, this gym is overcrowded with not enough equipment and the people suck.(Years later update) They finally invested some money into a remodel. The new equipment and squat platforms took away a lot of the problems. People still have bad gym etiquette, but it feels like it's getting better. 3 stars from 1 star.

2nd incident with theft at this location, most recently a pair of brand new shoes. Be aware that your belongings are not necessarily safe in the locker room, whether locked or not. Read through the rest of the reviews for this location and unfortunately this is not isolated to just our experience. Despite the consistency of theft, doesn't seem like management has made much effort to keep their members' belongings safe.

Good equipment, people that work there can be friendly or sometimes just ignore you. The problem I have with this facility is the amount of dust there is in the locker room ceiling and in the swimming pool area, I deal with allergies really bad and this place always causes me to take an allergic pill after my workout.

This chain is the worst for people want to seriously loose wight. Such a fraud if you have signed any contract with them. We signed a contract for personal training now this location is not having any trainer. Also, if i want to continue i have to go to a Richerdson location. But if i want this location i have to pay more. This is bizarre. Just waisted my money i feel.

EDIT: a week after posting this, I came back as it was just a cardio day for me. They are making upgrades - the carpet has been torn out of the locker rooms; they are setting up the functional training area, as well as installing the new squat racks. Hopefully they'll continue the upgrades and get this location up to par as the Vista Ridge and Euless locations are. And hopefully have enough barbells this go around ;)This location has seen better days. Every time I come here, 3 to 5 barbells are missing. Weights under 35 pounds? Where are those? I’ve resorted to only coming here for cardio. I’ll go to another location for weightlifting as they have the newer squat racks with bumper plates. There are better LAF locations. With the new gym off 635 open and lifetime soon to follow, this location needs a redo or to just give up and close. And carpet in the locker room? Gross…

Very nice place. I wasn't even working out, i just needed to use restroom very badly. I was walking & they let me & my friend use bathroom, no problem. & let us call our ride. Usually people/places of business are much ruder in situations like this.

They get busy Monday through Thursday and it gets loud because a bunch of people talks loud af while working out. However, it gets less crowded from Friday till Sunday which is nice!People or animals never put their weights back, no one looks after the equipment. Everything is thrown here and there so I guess prepare yourself for that. I’m giving the staff the benefit of doubt but not sure what they are really doing, tbh.Staff keeps changing, hopefully is a better and improved batch.
