10/10 recommend! We stayed one Saturday night for a romantic staycation date night. The weather in late October during our stay was perfect for hanging out outside in the courtyard. We arrived late in the evening and had to leave relatively early the next day, but I cannot wait to return and bring friends!
Rooms: We stayed in a Deluxe King overlooking the pool area. The room was spacious, and the amenities and decor were high-quality, giving off a fun, unique vibe.
All rooms open onto outdoor walkways, so you must walk outside to get from reception to your room. The front desk had several umbrellas to lend in case of inclement weather.
Nearby activities: The hotel is centrally located in the DFW area, a 10-15-minute car ride from the DFW and DAL airports. This hotel is a perfect stay for events at the Toyota Music Factory or Irving Convention Center.
Safety: The outdoor areas are well-lit, and I had no safety concerns during my stay.
Walkability: The Toyota Music Factory concert and event venue, the Irving Convention Center, and many restaurants and bars are within
less than 5 minutes walking.
Noteworthy details: Live music is played on Fridays and Saturdays in the on-site restaurant, and many rooms overlook the courtyards and pool area. Several groups of patio chairs and outdoor games make this hotel perfect for socializing with fellow travelers. Separate from the restaurant, there is also a dual-purpose bar (evenings) and coffee shop (mornings). There are complimentary beach cruisers that you could borrow for a fun bike ride.

I stayed here for a conference that was across the street, and I was SO glad I stayed here. I was actively not looking to attending a conference in Dallas, but Texican Court has such a rich South Texas feel with its fire pits, diverse plants, outdoor seating, the cantina, the pool, and the rooms itself, I felt like I was in San Antonio.
The cantina was fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The room was vibrant and unique and comfortable. Upon check-in I was given a Lone Star beer. The robes are fantastic and colorful. The pool, though cold in late October, was fun to relax in at night.
Overall, one of my favorite hotel stays, far exceeding the normal "conference hotel" I'm used to.

Everything was very nice! The only issue with my room was finding out the morning after our stay the coffee pot didn't seem to work. I am a wake up and need coffee girl lol.
Overall great ambience with the fire pit and smoker at night keeping bugs away and bringing warmth sitting around the fires. Plenty of food options within walking distance and they offer complimentary bikes at the front desk (which we learned at checkout ☹️).
Extremely affordable and well enjoyed night away from home without the kids. 10/10 would recommend.

Currently writing this review from the hotel. It’s a great hotel. This is my third stay. But this time someone decided that the right time to have someone come with a full compressor to wash the grill (as told to us by the front desk) was 10:50pm on a Thursday.
We called down to the front desk at 11:05 see how long the noise would be going on because it is ridiculously loud to ALL the rooms surrounding the pool and were told “it’ll be done soon” and did get an apology. Which was nice, but now it’s 11:35 and it’s STILL going with no end in sight.
It’s THURSDAY. We’re here on vacation but I have to imagine there are folks here for the conference center across the street. We have early plans tomorrow but are at the mercy of whenever this crew will finish pressure washing (???) the grill to go to sleep. This is absurd. I cannot describe to you how loud it is, and we’re across the courtyard and up a floor, I can’t imagine the folks on the first floor or on that side of the block of rooms.
There HAS to have been a better time to use a ridiculously loud piece of equipment than after 11:30pm on a Thursday.
Staff has been nice, check in was smooth, decor is the best in Texas, fire pits are lovely and the shower is amazing and beds are comfy. But my god bring ear plugs because apparently you’ll need them.

BOOK A ROOM!
I stayed at the Texican Court to rest and relax for my birthday weekend and it was perfect! Everyone was so kind, the room was cute and very clean, I love the outdoor spaces and everything is maintained well. The area is great, it’s right across from the convention center and Toyota music factory.
Hopefully this cute little Spanish Mission getaway stays as is, but I think it’s going to grow in popularity once the influencers find it. So BOOK NOW while you still get a great stay at a great price.

Lovely place, great value for money. The exterior and interior decor was very well done. One thing to keep in mind is when you choose a room with a balcony, you don’t get a private balcony, it’s a shared walkway pretty much. Would’ve rated it 5 stars but we found an opened packet of beef jerky in our room, told the staff, and got charged for it even though we didn’t open it.

They offer you a choice of beer when you check in. The bars at the Texican are great.

I have stayed here a number of times for both work and personal and the Texican is truly a gem. The staff, restaurant, rooms, and amenities are all excellent. Cheyanne and Edgar always take great care of us. 5 stars!

Nice location across from Toyota Music center and the convention center and with chairs to hang outside. Pool. Friendly people. It had a good feeling and being here you feel like a million bucks.

Great place. I stayed here recently for 3 nights for a conference that was at the Irving Convention Center right across the street. I figured the character of the place would be a little more interesting than the Westin.
The staff was friendly and the room was quiet (but I wasn't by the pool, in fairness, and the AC's loud humming for me was just white noise I didn't find distracting for sleeping). The rooms were clean and very uniquely decorated in Texan style. The outdoor fireplace/smell at night was a nice touch. The wi-fi was adequate although could have been a bit stronger, signal-wise. The area is very easy to walk around and find plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity.
I'd definitely stay here again!

Rooms: Had a refrigerator that had enough room in it to be usable

I really wished I could have stayed here, but I have special dietary needs that require a mini-fridge. My understanding is that will charge a $50 fee if you need to empty the mini-fridge to put your own food. That's enough for me to not want to stay here.

Stayed here recently for a conference that was at the Irving Convention Center across the street.
Check-in was smooth. The front desk attendant was nice. Arrived at the room to find a retro western style. Fully stocked fridge with plenty of beer, liquor, wine, and soft drinks as well as snacks. All of it is expensive, so beware and avoid the temptation. Not only are the items overpriced, but if you use ANYTHING from the minibar, they add a "minibar service charge" of nearly $9.00 for each day you use it. Keep that in mind.
The on-site food and drink options are expensive. The food was mediocre, unfortunately. No seasoning or flavor beside mesquite for the brisket tacos.
The biggest issue was the noise. I'm already not a fan of motels or hotels that have doors that open to the outside. Constant noise from people walking by to noise from the pool. Also, the AC in the room is super loud when it kicks on. All of these factors made it difficult to relax or sleep.
The rooms were clean, and the grounds were nicely decorated. Loved the smell of mesquite smoke each night.
It is unlikely I'd ever stay here again. I think it's overpriced for what you get. Some of you may be OK with staying here with the gripes I have above, for me, it's a one and done.
