There are too...too many people... Always.
I don't want to go there often...
but I have to go because there are good clothes at good prices.

I had a deeply upsetting experience at this location. I came in to return a rug (with receipt) and have a security tag removed from curtains I had purchased days earlier. I forgot the receipt for the curtains but offered to have the purchase looked up by card. The cashier refused, treated me with visible suspicion, and acted as if I were stealing. Three other employees, including one who likely forgot to remove the tag in the first place, tried to help—but she ignored them and escalated the situation, even trying to take the item from me.
After waiting in line 20 minutes, I was humiliated, publicly shamed, and made to feel like a criminal—all over a $50 purchase I’d already made. As a Black woman, I can’t help but feel this was discriminatory. The manager eventually resolved it, but by then I was nearly in tears. I spent over $300 here in two days, only to be treated like a thief. Absolutely unacceptable.
Update: I spoke to Customer Service and the Store Manager and they offered to send me a gift card to make up for that experience and I haven’t received anything. Empty promises.

While HomeGoods offers an attractive selection of home decor, the customer service experience falls significantly short—particularly with regard to its return policy.
A key concern is the absence of a designated return line. Customers wishing to make a return must wait in the same lengthy queue as those making purchases, resulting in avoidable delays and frustration.
More concerning is the disconnect between the company’s stated return policy and its in-store practices. Although the website indicates that returns without receipts are eligible for store credit, staff at this location refuse such returns unless a receipt or tags are provided. This inflexible stance is out of step with the approach taken by many other reputable retailers, who typically offer more accommodating options for unused merchandise.
Overall, the return process appears unnecessarily burdensome, suggesting a lack of commitment to delivering a customer-friendly experience.

I love these stores great prices but they're long lines to check out is VERY discouraging. Today 7 out of 14 lanes were open and my wait was still over 45 minutes.

No complaints here towards the HomeGoods side, but the TJ Max side is the reason the check out is so long. Employees who strictly work on the HomeGoods side of the store are not allowed to work the register. Idk why that is, but it is. So please don't listen to reviews on here bashing HG employees for "standing around" during closing. HG can't leave the store at night until the very last customer is gone. Even if the HG side of the store is clean. Please be patient, they're some of the best people I know and are such hard workers. ❤️

Pathetic customer service

The establishment is quite spacious and well-stocked, catering to a wide range of needs. However, there is room for improvement in terms of staffing, as the lengthy queue at the checkout, extending all the way to the handbag section, resulted in a wait time exceeding 15 minutes.

Very bad experience. Second time staff forgot to take the security piece off the clothes. I had to drive back 20 mins to get the puece taken off. Worse thing is even manager didn’t do anything about that, all she said is she will talk to cashier.
Is that going to pay me for my gas? Is that going to give me back the my time you all wasted?
I am never coming back to this location again.

Clothes are thrifty, place could use some Organizaction. One lady bought an extra-long mirror, and she tried going out the door with the basket. The Cleark quickly told her she could not take the basket outside. They put bars on the basket so high that you cannot drive them out the door and conveniently take your purchases to your car.
He proceeded to tell me why they attached the long roads to the basket. The store does not want to pay anyone to bring the buggies back in from the parking lot. My thought is this, what about the frail people who cannot carry a 40 lb. mirror to their car. My goodness. What has retail stooped too?

Huge store, big variety of products but there is always long wait to check out 30-40 minutes, no matter of day or time, gives me an impression of short stuffed yet unemployment is 4 % ??

Love the selection they have but this store needs to hire more cashiers. The line to pay is INSANE, takes more than 30 minutes to pay for 3 things. It’s been like this for years! Please hire more staff come on, I’ve never seen such slow line at any store!

I do not recommend this T.J. Maxx in Iriving. I came in today July 8th, 2024 who ever the associate at the jewlrey counter was this morning was extremely rude. She didn't ask any customers if they needed help. None of the associates working say hello they don't make eye contact with you one of the associates had her cart right in the aisle and the customer's couldn't shop. The older gentleman who rung me up was rude and seemed irritated like he didn't want to be there. I definitely won't come back to this location I'll stick with all the other locations in DFW where associates seem happy to work and aren't rude.

Worst store experience. They have only few open checkout registers which cause long queues. Not worth at all coming to store because of 1 - 2 hr long wait in the queues
Usually stores have separate areas for checkout and returns. Here even returns come to same queue which is causing longer wait.
I have seen multiple people complaining about long queues in reviews but still no one took steps for it.
