We’ve been out of propane for months because AmeriGas. It’s been a stressful back and forth on the phone situation. Stick to a local gas company if you can! The people on the phone are always nice but they just read what was reported and don’t actually know what’s going on. We’ve made sure to take off work and stay home and AmeriGas will say they showed up and nobody was home. We were charged $108 twice for nothing!

Nationwide comapany that only cares about profit margins. If they think you won’t use enough propane they won’t serve you. I have a 250 gal tank for my 22kw Generator and they refuse to serve me for that reason alone. They’ve bought out local companies and reduced local service. If you are a rural customer, they really don’t want to serve you.

i don't understand the good reviews here. This is the most terrible company for propane. They don't answer the phone period. The website is a rabbit hole. Horrible corporate company with zero customer service. I just called suburban propane. They answered on the 5 th ring and it was a real person.

If I can get another company to pull Amerigas tank out I will be leaving them. You can not talk to a person. Sat on the phone for an hour and half and no one ever connected. I am fed up with poor customer service. Don't choose Amerigas is you can help it.

Over probably 20 years of our family members buying from AmeriGas from the company, they want to be paid prior to delivering gas now. They must have new management and I am very disgusted with them. There invoice statement states “Past Due (in days)” 1-30 as $X.XX. The billed amount is the same if you pay on day 1 or day 30... so if you pay on day 10 you make them mad. Apparently they do not abide by this and get mad. I have been an auditor many years... I know how corporations pay and, they keep there money as long as possible. Furthermore, if they do not deliver my propane until “5” days later, they are making interest on my money and I have not received the propane. Buyers this in my opinion is against the law.

It was so easy to order, a pay and schedule to have our tank refilled.

I signed up for automatic delivery after a bad experience with a different supplier. The first time I checked it was below 5 %. I called and it took another couple of days before they delivered more and the needle was buried in the red but fortunately I did not run out. For some reason, they only put in 100 gallons in my 250 gallon tank. They had no explanation as to why they only put in 100 gallons and said the ticket showed it was 80 % filled, however I had checked right after the delivery and it was below 60 %. The next time I checked, the needle was already buried in the red. It was a weekend so nobody was in the office to answer the phone so I called on Monday, but they said they couldn't get out until Friday. I explained that I had house guests and we would certainly run out of gas before Friday. They moved it up to Wednesday and when I asked what would happen if I ran out before then, I was informed there would be a $200 emergency delivery fee. When I did run out on Tuesday I escalated the issue to the regional manager who finally agreed to have them come out that day and would waive the $200 fee. Unfortunately, they never showed up on Tuesday and finally got there on Wednesday. I will say that they were polite and apologized, but I was not very happy.
