“Dollar General is a blessing in our little rural town. Not only are the prices reasonable, but they carry a variety of products needed or desired for your home and lawn care, gifts, toys, groceries, tools or some new sunglasses. They open early and close late every day of the week. Plus you'll save on time and gas.”

“I really like my location but they don't carry a lot of African American hair care products very little. I emailed the office over a year ago and still haven't heard anything. The store is located in a really nice subdivision with African people as well as people of other races. ?”

“They still have a lot of stock from Dollar general which is at Dollar tree prices. So you can still get 5 dollar items for a buck 25. For the most part they're all concentrated over in the cooking tools on the far wall to your right but you can also find them mixed in with the other items”

“Found my three and a half year old grandson quite a few outfits for half off yellow star on the hanging clothes outside at this location 30 minutes after my daughter texted me that my grandson was going to start preschool and needed to find some clothes for him to wear”

“This store is MUCH better than the store in Clute, Texas on Hwy 288B. That store just needs shut down, cleaning, restoration and stocking. I drive about 3 miles to Dollar general. The bad one is just a few blocks from where I live.”

“I am pretty sure the staff at Dollar Tree in Freeport is tired of seeing me. I rushed in a couple of weeks ago for chips to go with hamburgers when I realized thst the clerk had had to unlock the door, allowing me to enter at about 15 min to 9 pm. I had thought the store closed at 10 pm. She was super nice though and let me hurry to grab a bag of chips even though she was closing up. On my way to the food aisle I noticed the new supply of craft supplies of every sort, decorative ceramics and glassware, decals, paints and even Wallpaper pieces for backsplashes or even room panels. I was so surprised to see such an assortment that I snapped a few photos to send to my sister, the master crafter, not me. She told me jokingly to leave the store immediately as if I'd catch a "crafty bug". Even I could tell it was a great variety and selections for all sort of crafting or decor projects . So yes, I'm definitely a return customer. Staff is always friendly and polite. Store layout works for customers and even though there's not much just $1 anymore, still my choice for the selection and price. No public restrooms, no motor oils sold, but tons of party supplies and holiday decorations. And they close at 9 pm not 10.AM-9 PM MON-SAT; 10-AM -8 PM SUNDAY. In the shopping center with Arlens, Brazosport Blvd.”

“We have 2 Dollar stores in Freeport, luckily. The older store does have a long line at times i.e.after school lets out but the staff is on top of security for sure. Most of the staff is courteous, well informed in product layout and polite if not overly friendly. They're constantly stocking their shelves and the store has undergone a facelift. The older store seriously needs a larger building as I bet it probably has more customers only due to the location. Their prices have been raised but what stores haven't due to current economy. They're open on time M-S 8:00-10:00. There's plenty of parking. They offer a variety of name brand & store brand products from wine to batteries to craft supplies. My first choice for the items we need every other day or items missed while restocking the kitchen on a large scale.”

“I'm giving 5 stars to the tall-blond lady, because she wraps fragile things like ceramic cups and glasses in paper. I never asked her to do that, but she did that extra kind gesture anyways. I hope she gets a Christmas bonus.”

“Got quite a bit for a little of nothing. Yes they have changed. Now they are like any other store. They need to change the name cause it went from being everything is a dollar to$1.25 and up. Use to be a good buying place. Oh well all the good stuff is gone.”

“I previously only gave my local Dollar General 3 stars but after visiting there yesterday, I am revising that to 5 star. The store looked great, and I was really impressed. No stock blocking the aisles. Well stocked. I commented to two employees, who were both friendly. Glad to see it!”
