It's full of clasic toys, tools, sodas, root beer, candy, pies and the most Amazing thing besides the classic wooden toys like a real wooden spinning top or a Jacob's Ladder or so many things that bring me back to my childhood even the boots and work attire.. all are awesome but...The main reason we visit TC Lindsey's country store... the Hoop Cheese. Yes!!! The Wisconsin Hoop Cheddar Cheese. There's no other place, not any gourmet cheese shop... not Kroger or Brookshires.. No other place anywhere in the South has this most Amazing, Creamy and Delicious Cheddar Cheese and they cut any size wedges out on an antique cheese wheel cutter at the end of the counter. They are only 10 minutes past the State line in Texas on I-20... Go there, find you a classic Cream soda, Coke or Root beer and get a 1 inch thick wedge of Cheese and a little pack of crackers, have a seat and have the best snack ever and look around and re-live a little of your childhood (if you grew up in the 70's and 80's).. The nostalgia is thick, the people are great and the Hoop Cheese is worth driving 100 miles for but it's only about 20 minutes from Shreveport. We got 2 wedges about 2 inches thick last week and there already gone or I would post a picture... Just go and check them out... You will not be disappointed.”
