We made the decision to store our items here after my job deployed me to Florida for disaster response. There were a lot of signs around town mentioning move in specials that included free/reduced months, which turned out to not be the case. They required a deposit that was roughly $100 to move in to the unit. The facility is nice enough and we've been one of only a couple of renters there. My problem comes from the lack of consistency when it comes to their specials, but also the inconsistency with their policies. The grace period for your payment isn't until the 5th of the month, which is what was conveyed to me when I moved in, but the 5th day after the invoice is sent. Some months my invoice has been sent on the 25/26th, so I'll be assessed a fee the evening of the 1st. I've been getting moved around frequently and had to extend my time away from Texas due to a cancer diagnosis in the family so I've continued to leave our stuff in storage even though it's a sizeable expense. I got the final okay to take time off an move out, which is of course less than 30 days in the future, so I will be held responsible for additional rent or forfeiture of the whole deposit. It's a frustrating situation to say the least.
