On July 13, 2024… My father and I took a trip to Houston to go watch the Houston Astros play the Texas Rangers. We chose this hotel because I’ve never had a problem with Best Western hotels. Until this one. This hotel was terrible. They could not produce a room keys for us. We were told that it would be best if we did not leave the hotel because the front desk clerk would have to go on open a room for us every time we needed to return. That was a huge inconvenience. The floor in the bathroom of our room must have damage because the floor felt like it was gonna fall in. The continental breakfast at there to provide was terrible. It was just a terrible experience all together.

We got the third floor best day to see the fireworks. And the heated pool was great for my family and the Gym the best and the breakfast was off the chain. I would come here again.
Food & drinks: They have a fridge and coffee maker and microwave. Great for baby bottle warming.

The nicest thing I can say about this hotel is, the rooms are decent.
I stayed here for 5 days. Every, single day I had to get my key redone because neither of them would work. So, that totaled about 5 times I had to ask for them to redo my keys. Out of those 5 times only once did they ask my name to verify it was my room. Never asked for ID or any kind of verification. The other 4 times they didn't ask anything! Just the room number (written on the envelope so any stranger could've guessed it) and then handed me the card back.
On the second day there the elevator broke down. So that meant lugging my daughter, all of our stuff for the day and myself down 3 flights of stairs and back up again every time we went somewhere. And, having to carry all our luggage down the stairs on my last day.
The staff were never any where to be found also. Any time I needed assistance, either calling the front desk or actually standing at the front desk, I had to wait and wait and wait. One of the employees came out with food, not only in his mouth but, all over his mouth! As he spoke to me he was spitting crumbs everywhere.
The environment of this hotel is dark and dingy.
I will never stay at this location again.
Safety: They never ask for identification when redoing your room keys.

Let me start by saying my room was extremely clean and spacious and check in was fairly quick and easy. That's where the good experience ends. After driving 10 hours with three of those hours in driving rain, I got to my room and wanted to lay down and hopefully snooze nofor just a little bit. Just as I fall asleep there's a very loud knocking at my door and an employee just comes bargeing in startling me while I am in my bed and waking me up. He didn't even check the manifest to see if somebody was in this room and it was 4:30 in the afternoon. Later in the evening as I'm leaving for dinner I went to mention it to the desk clerk just to let him know that they need to check things before they just go walking into a room, the desk clerk leans back in his chair where I can only see the top of his head and that's how we had our conversation. He never came out and his comment was well that happens sometimes. What? The next morning the breakfast was very subpar even for Best Western standards. I like to just have cereal and an English muffin or a bagel and some fruit. There was no real fruit selection and the bread selection was plain white sliced bread. Very disappointing. You would think that a hotel that keeps the property this clean would have a better trained staff. Like I said, the room was very clean but would I stay here again, probably not.

I can make sure this property is not for the community. After the severe storm on May 16th, we lost the power. It was all over the Houston with more than 700k houses, we were one of them. Some of our neighbors even lost water with no promise of restoration. We booked the hotel to endure 90+ heat and clean water. We booked 3 nights because we were expecting few weeks for the recovery - the transmission is down.
On our first day of the stay, with linemen’s devotion and some luck, our place restored power and we are more than willing to early terminate our stay so that others can share the A/C and clean water, especially the hotel was fully booked for 2 days in a row because of refugees like us. Surprisingly, the hotel management refused for the refund of the rest of the days(I don’t want to blame the front desk because he was doing all his best with these endless customers and complaints- the front door was not even working properly.) It is too selfish and not respect the community, set aside its damp atmosphere and somewhat vibrant bed(I feel it from the 1st floor and my room is 202)- and heavy walking from upstairs as well!
So I would say no, to no mercy, no devote for community facility for their own.

The rooms were clean. The staff friendly. It's a bit above what I normally pay for a room but you get what you pay for. It was worth it. Don't miss out on the free breakfast. It was great and a variety of food if you stay multiple days. Our afternoon guy (with green tipped hair) was truly wonderful!
Rooms: Clean and we'll stocked.
Nearby activities: There is a water park and trampoline place nearby
Safety: All rooms are inside.
Walkability: There are several strip malls near enough to walk to. Many options there from food to drugstore to shopping
Food & drinks: There is a sundry in the lobby and restraunts close enough to walk to or drive to in the immediate area
Noteworthy details: Snacks available at a small price and the breakfast is top notch. Great variety and it has someone tending it while open. Until 9:30 am
