They called the day before we were moving to cancel our truck. We had been talking to them all week, they never mentioned anything about the possibility of running out of trucks.Extremely frustrating and disappointing.I would highly suggest to AVOID and not book with them if you are actually wanting a truck.

This was the absolute worst experience in customer service. You are sent to 3rd parties where accountability and checks and balances don't exist. "Budget movers" transfered my call to "My Best Mover LLC" where the employees seem to make a game out of seeing how aggressive they can get with customers before putting them on hold. They are in the business of racking up hidden extra charges.

They lied to me about having a truck available for me and prepaid and planned my move around thier word of having a truck ready. They are horrible at managing anything.

After this company took a deposit of $150.00, the store was unable to give us a working truck and there was no other Budget trucks near by. I had movers waiting on me and this was extremely stressful. The budget company told me they had no way of knowing the trucks were broke down. They should have checked the trucks and had it ready for us before they took my money. Five days later I am still waiting on my deposit to be credited to my account. I had to call Uhaul, instead of using Budget, and they were able to get me a working truck and I was at my house ready to meet my movers in one hour. Uhaul was a better experience.

Went online made a reservation for a 26 foot truck. We went an hour and a half, prior to the pickup time, and we were informed that Budget did not have trucks that size at the Kingsland/Katy, Tx location.They were not able to provide any assistance. Oh, Except provide a 1-800 number so we could call and figure things out. Meanwhile, time was running out, we had mover helpers coming to our house.All we had to do was pick up the truck. Simple. We trusted the Reservation. We had a reservation number and everything had been confirmed.Calling the 1-800 number was not good. Customer service was unable to call other locations without figuring out what we needed, after being transferred, hung up on and so forth. We were finally able to speak to someone who Really listened. We told them to have a supervisor call us. 23 miles later and one hour into our movers time we finally got a truck.So my advise is don't use Budget. You Reserve, but your not reserving anything, especially at this location. And the employees take no initiative to help. Take no responsibility."Here is the 1-800 number......you figure it out." Was the only help we received

Needed a truck for the day came to this location and was informed I'd only be able to rent the truck for 2 hours. I needed the truck so I agreed and paid a $250 deposit, the 12' truck is $19.99 for the day and 0.69 a mile, the truck drove 50 miles, 40 of that was getting the truck from and back to its original location. My total should have been around $55 or $43 after 20% discount for military or nurse, I was charged $109 for a truck I could only rent for 2 hours. I'll be writing to the BBB as well as the FCC, then I'll contact corporate for both the business that rents the truck if there is one and for Budget. Real nice how you treat your veterans.

EDIT: THEY FRAUDULENTLY OVER CHARGED ME 600 ADDITIONAL MILES. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Just don't!! GO TO UHAUL off of 1-10 and Fry. We have used U-Haul off of Fry before but we thought we were getting a better deal because Budget was charging .49 per mile as opposed to U-Haul's .99 per mile. It's true, Budget does charge .49 per mile but, they MAKE you use their insurance unless you can get a waiver of subrogation from our auto insurance carrier, which they do not tell you until you show up to pick up your truck!!! Who can pull that off on a Saturday with a 15 minute notice??? Then, they have you over a barrel. What would have been around $350 with U-Haul for a three day rental turned out to be over $700 with Budget. RUN, don't walk to U-Haul.

Worst experience. If I could give them 0 stars, I absolutely would. They are the rudest staff and so poorly managed. Reserved a truck a week in advance, and the night before they canceled my truck. Had to drive over an hour away to get a different one after hours of hassle with them. They were rude the entire experience, even though it was 100% their fault. Spend a little more and use a different company because they are just not worth it.

I should have read the reviews before booking... The truck I booked isn't available, can't reach anyone on the phone, sit in lobby for 30 minutes plus waiting for another truck (still other people in line in front of me)... Just a poorly run operation. I'll stick with the Katy Uhaul from now on. Edit: I had reserved a 26-foot truck and when I showed up they did not have it, or even a 20-foot truck, they gave me a 16-foot truck.

Horrible! Reserved a truck and the day we needed it they told us they canceled it. Rude. Didn't offer to help us at.all. Do NOT use these people!!! Do yourself a favor and go to the Katy Fwy U Haul!!! Nice and helpful. Not even joking...DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! Go to Katy Fwy U Haul!!!!!!

I rented from this location about a month ago, and it was great. Not sure why others with these reviews had the experience they did, but my experience was great, the reps smiled, were efficient and helpful, and very friendly. I am renting again tomorrow!

I made a reservation to rent their truck for one day on a Saturday where I planed a house move. I prepared everything and invited family and friends to help. When I went to Budget to pick up a truck, the person told me they don't have any trucks available and there were about 10 reservations without trucks. He told me l should call Budget's customer service line for help. His attitude was fine. Just to be short, here's what happened: 1. Reservation was made and confirmed, and truck was not there when I went at my pick up time. 2. Customer Service Rep took my info. told me Inventory Mgr. will call me back to see if there's anything around. I said the maximum distance I'm willing to travel to get it was 15 miles (they couldn't deliver to the original location I was suppose to pick up which was 2 miles away from my home). His attitude was fine. 3. Inventory Mgr. called back, without being apologetic at all, saying there's a truck available at Humble, 50 miles from me. I said I can't go that far, and he said he will just cancel my reservation. I told him about my situation, and without offer any word of apology, he implied that I reserved too late. This is unacceptable customer service, and because of this one incidence, I will never rent from Budget Truck again. This is my second time renting from them. In a customer service business, it takes every right move to keep up a reputation, but only once to ruin it all. But I guess they already did it three times from the three 1-star reviews on Yelp. I hope to record my experience here so future renters can be aware. I made another reservation at U-Haul, everything has been great so far.
