REPLY TO OWNER COMMENT:Hi,I already did try to resolve this issue over the phone (not on Google) and the employee confirmed the meat was past the date where it should be eaten. But also said we could probably eat it anyway “today or tomorrow” and be fine since “it doesn’t really matter.”Any price for expired meat is too high, no matter where it’s sold.Yes, I like to warn others of bad experiences with businesses. Thanks for taking the time to read all my reviews. Odd that you don’t know what it means to have an attitude problem.Original review: Looks like we aren’t the only ones with this kind of experience based on other reviews! They sell you expired meat, at a high cost, with a terrible attitude. The worst kind of place.

WOW. I'm well informed on meat and this place has more than you can believe! Met the owner Felix and was greeted with the best service. Purchased the dry aged ribeye....AMAZING! Also, ask about the dry aged pork chops you can't find hardly anywhere in the U.S. literally.

We bought some cuts of meat today for the first time - filet mignon, rib eye, flat iron, New York strip. Extremely happy with the purchase. The meats melted in your mouth. And full of flavor. We had added just salt butter and pepper. Nothing else. The lead butcher, Darren was very patient with our queries. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back soon.

They sold me head cheese that was packaged two weeks ago. You cannot eat pork after 3-5 days in the refrigerator. When I called to ask about the date, he said “Normally, I put the sticker on after it’s been taken out of the freezer, but this time I put the sticker on when it was made.” As if that even matters. It’s still two weeks old. And if they are putting stickers on meat After it’s been frozen, that means I could be eating meat from a month ago, but it came out of the freezer last week.I didn’t notice the sticker until I got home. I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt, and I opened the package anyway. But, the meat smelled so bad, and I threw it out. Money in the trash.

Okaayyeeee!!!! ???? Can we talk about this ?! First of all the owner or Operator of the establishment is sooo cool and nice. Next, QUALITY meats. DO you hear me? QUALITY! And if what you want is not on showcase, they custom cut per request She also accept SNAP! You get to have Wild Game! ALL from Local farms. Keep that in mind with the talk of "Lab Grown' meats. I love the Ribeye personally ❤️ She gained a loyal customer. Great place, Great foods all around beautiful place! Oh I almost forgot the scratch seasonings! Top tier ?

Went In looking for a few 2" cut ribeye, was told they already cut them at 1" and pre- packaged the meat. Meat masters on Fry is recommended if you want a custom cut.

Finally a butcher shop that has great porterhouses and Denver steaks. The quality is amazing and very reasonable pricing. Tried their crawfish sausage and bratwurst as well and the they were both top notch.

Super fun place with a great selection. We'll definitely have to be back soon but the staff were so friendly and everything smelled amazing. There's some more exotic meats available which I hope to try soon. Can't wait to come back!

Was really excited to finally try this place and get some filets for my birthday! Unfortunately I walked in behind another couple going to check this place out and while they were greeted nicely and told a little bit about the place, I was not. After standing for a minute or two and checking out the steaks, still no one said a word to me. I know it was an honest mistake and I will give them another try eventually (and hopefully change this to 5 stars), but today I just didn’t feel right spending the money for the filets after what I perceived as being ignored. Not a great first experience for me, but I’ll give them another shot after my feelings are no longer hurt.

I tried to shop here twice. Once about a year ago and again for this thanksgiving. Both times the shop smells rancid and I left without purchasing anything. Since the meat looked fine, I have to assume that it’s a cleanliness issue. Sorry guys. I like to support local businesses but when it comes to consumables, I won’t take a chance where the cleanliness is in question.

Love this family owned butcher shop and craft market right here in Old Katy. We buy our pork chops, steaks, eggs and this week, Prime Rib here. The owners and family that works here are wonderful people and sure could use your business. Shop here instead of the big grocery stores if you can for quality meat.
