I'm starting to enjoy shopping at Sam's more than Costco. Costco is closer but driving past it to go to Sam's is becoming more worth it. Yesterday, we went through the self checkout line (as we always do). I had made sure all the barcodes were facing up to make the associates job a bit easier. Typically they will scan our items, but this time the associate stood their and watched me pull each piece out to scan. My husband had a great idea to put the box on the counter to place them items into so we can quickly get them back into the cart and out of the way. I did not even think about how it was a scale. The associate was clearly irritated and scolded me for not being aware of how the scale works. Since Sam's has the Scan&Go feature, it makes our trips there much more enjoyable. I hope some day Costco will implement this feature. Their team members never seem happy to help except for the customer service desk associates, they are very kind and helpful.

I am tired of being treated like a thief. The person checking receipts always digs all the way to the bottom of the cart, as if I'm hiding something. I've noticed they selectively choose who to check thoroughly, and it always happens to me. What makes me a suspect? Is it because of the color of my skin?

I always love shopping here. Specifically, their selection for Indian food has been growing - yogurt, rice, daal, paneer, ready to eat curry and even pani puri. I also love their selection of wines, produce and baked goods.
