I had an extremely negative experience at Frost Bank yesterday. I visited the branch to inquire about some unexpected fees on my account, but the interaction quickly became frustrating.
Key Issues Experienced:
Poor Management Response: The branch manager I spoke with was unhelpful and unwilling to take any action regarding the fees or address my concerns satisfactorily.
Inefficient Account Closure Process: When I decided to close my accounts due to the poor service, the process was incredibly inefficient. It took over an hour to complete. I was required to show my ID and sign paperwork three separate times because employees kept making errors with the documentation.
Inept Staff: The overall experience highlighted a significant lack of training and professionalism among both the employees and management. The level of incompetence I witnessed was surprising for a financial institution.
Outcome:
Due to this experience, Frost Bank has lost a potentially valuable customer, as I was seriously considering moving multiple business/ investment accounts from my subsidiaries to this bank. I will also be sharing my negative experience with my network of friends and family and advising them to bank elsewhere.

Absolutely love this place !!! My daughter convinced me to start my banking here as she has used frost for a long time I can not be more happier

Thank you to Rosie or Rose I apologize if I got it wrong! She was amazing and explained everything to my 17 year old as we opened his very own account. The process was easy and fast, I appreciate the kindness in which she conducted herself with :)

I came today after work to set up a business and personal account. I was greeted by Dedra at 4:36pm. She looked at her watch and said it was a bit late. I told her I took off work to come and couldn’t leave work until 4. She proceeded to ask probing questions after realizing I was potentially opening a business and personal she asked if I had certain documents and sat me in a room alone. The area has no cell service and there is no WiFi so we I couldn’t send formation documents another older lady suggested I sit near the window to get service she was nice. I didn’t open an account because the energy was rushed and not the type of energy I would want if someone handling my funds. I have a few business and I’d never rush a lot person off like that just because i was close to closing. Mind you I was the ONLY customer in the location. I thought this should be addressed or documented

Getting a Medallian stamp for a IRA rollover seemed to pose a major problem and bid delay " come back the next day to facilitate document review". It was quicker to drive to Fidelity and the counter guy just initialled the document and scanned it in. It could just be this one new branch off I-10.

I’ve had a checking account with this bank for awhile now and it’s been good. Today I needed an estate account since my mother passed away. I took all required documentation in and was denied because the paperwork was not from Texas. All my documents were legal and binding. Extremely unhappy that I had to move my account to a bank that only required the legal documents. These people are clueless.
