I go here all the time but from an outsider looking in there is 3 thing to be sure of. 1 check the Facebook or call them to see if they are open also make sure you didn't come during lunch time which is at 3:00 to 3:30. 2 Zach the manager is 1 guy he may have had to go get something from the back but generally he is very helpful and only really will strike up a conversation if you come up to him. 3. This is the part that is a bit critical but I feel fairly so. Zach is cool some of the crowd there is not and from the reviews I am not the only one to think that. Even being fairly regular interacting with those choice people is painful. Now I get it's other customers and they should hold no factor as to how the store is rated but given its close friends to Zach and he is almost always next to them it is pretty bad. I can't count how many times I have come into that store to have a good time playing my favorite hobby and then I stepped on a landmine of discussion and went home bummed out. And it just sucks that a place so close to me has to have probably the worst people also call it home.

Easily five stars. A mature, clean, well maintained and welcoming store, run by adults. Really well stocked considering the limited premises. Good competent and to the point advice, such a welcome relief from other locations where the salesman pitch (trying to push product) was often more pronounced. Will definitely come back. I wasn't inclined to leave a review at all but read the 1-star reviews and wanted to counterweigh what I felt were not entirely fair observations. Yes, you won't get swarmed by sales assistants on entry - that's a plus. Yes, they're not always open - fair enough, but easily handled if you're an adult. Concretely, it certainly helps to call the store ahead of time to check they're open (I did) and maybe even ask if they're continuously open that day (they sometimes are not); if picking up the phone for 1 minute is too onerous, I would also recommend checking the store's dedicated Facebook page for live events and promotions, as well as scrupulous advance notices of closure times. Is this the best WH store ever? Perhaps not in every respect. But leaving a one star review for the foregoing reasons doesn't do the location justice either.

After reading a few reviews I feel it necessary to leave one myself. I am a woman, a Mexican, and lgBtq+, I have been shopping here since 2019 and hope to continue this streak. Zach has been kind to me even when I asked for War-ter (thanks Duncan Rhodes), he's given me so many painting tips, and is now helping me build my first 40k army! The hours can be wonky but a simple phone call to the store will help you know if they're open, if the store is open he will answer. It is a one person store so him taking vacations is valid. Just kidding, stop having a life Zach! I would also like to add that today (11/12) he hosted a "beginners day" and at the forefront was a four year old. It was ADORABLE!

Store owner Zach is awkward and silent, him and 4 grown men always stay at the store and move the hours around to better suit themselves. They will chill in the store with their beer bellies popping out their shirt and stare at anyone who shows up in complete silence. I've heard multiple accounts of them making young children and women uncomfortable. Hit up the shop at Bellaire he's much more of a mature store owner the extra 20 minutes is worth it.

After recently visiting Games Workshop, I must say that my son’s experience left much to be desired. I agree with previous reviews regarding the fickle hours of operation, which I found quite peculiar (because the posted hours of operation must be a suggestion). After several attempts to visit the store unsure of its actual opening/closing times, he finally managed to step foot inside. Unfortunately, what awaited him was rather disappointing.Upon entering the store, my son was greeted with complete silence. Despite the presence of four people (who I’d assume at least one was a store employee), not a single word was spoken to him. This lack of acknowledgment and customer engagement was disheartening. My son, being a young enthusiast, understands the importance of spending money where he‘s welcomed and receives good service. Needless to say, he left the store without making any purchases.It would benefit your store and the overall experience for visitors, if you prioritize customer service and invest in training your staff to provide a more welcoming and interactive experience for visitors and ensure reliable opening/closing hours. Be better.

Google said this shop was open today (Wed May 31st), when we arrived, there was a note on the door that the shop was on vacation.Not the first time this has happened to us. We come for their wide selection of paints and the people are nice and helpful. However,you'd think that the owner could change the posted hours so people know, we aren't that close and come especially to buy paints here.Not anymore. Guess we'll just order from Amazon from now on.

Hours says open. It’s the middle of the day on a Saturday and closed with no notice. Wasted 45 minutes.

I needed a couple things but the Royal Oaks store was closed. I made the trek to visit this location and Im glad I did! Everyone was super friendly. The store is slightly smaller but they have an impressive inventory. I would absolutely recommend stopping here at least once.

It seems like they're never open. I don't think I've been inside the store for at least a year now because they're never open when I come by. Never any notes on the door or updates on Google, they're just closed. Doesn't matter what time or day I come, they're never open. I tried twice today, figuring it might've been closed for lunch the first time I came, but they were still closed when I came by again a few hours later.

Zach thank you for all your help been coming here for the last 2 years and I have to say thank you for all the help you’ve provided in that time from book recommendations to terrain and game recommendations also, gotta say one of the best stores from warhammer around and some of the best customer service
