I recently made the decision to resign from my position at Kids 'R' Kids. While the center has many positive qualities and I genuinely enjoyed my time working here, I feel it's important to provide some honest feedback based on my experience.
Throughout my time at the center, I encountered several challenges that ultimately influenced my decision to leave. One of the most significant issues was related to the care and safety of my own child, including a serious incident where my child was left unattended outside due to staff negligence. While one of the involved teachers was terminated, the other—who was later found to be under the influence while working—was allowed to remain employed. Many teachers begin working immediately after completing their hiring paperwork, often without receiving adequate training on proper procedures. It is not uncommon for teachers to be left alone in classrooms with the maximum number of children allowed, without any support staff present. This situation highlights a significant staffing shortage at the center, which appears to be largely influenced by the leadership and management practices of the director.
Leadership was another area of concern. In my experience, Director Jean Thomas often displayed unprofessional and dismissive behavior, and “Executive” Director Meredith Tritico demonstrated similar tendencies.
Additionally, there appeared to be instances of favoritism, especially concerning Jean Thomas’s grandchildren, one of whom is employed as a teacher and the other whom is receiving care. This created a dynamic that did not always align with the principles of fairness or accountability.
There were also ongoing health and safety concerns. On several occasions, Jean and Meredith came to work visibly ill with contagious illnesses, entering classrooms and interacting with staff and children alike. Furthermore, teachers were often left without adequate supplies to follow the established curriculum, which is particularly concerning given the high tuition costs.
That said, many of the teachers at Kids 'R' Kids are passionate, hardworking, and truly dedicated to the children in their care. Their commitment is commendable and deserves recognition.
In my opinion, Ms. Kristin stands out as someone who genuinely prioritizes the well-being of both students and staff. Her leadership approach is compassionate and balanced, and I believe the center would greatly benefit under her guidance.
I hope this perspective contributes constructively to future improvements at the center.

My grandchild went there and would always get sick almost every week. The classroom had a bad outbreak of hands foot & mouth. They were letting other kids come back the following day while they were still contagious. My grandchild came home with it and spread it to other siblings that do not attend the daycare. They do have some great teachers but they can’t keep them because they are so mistreated. I do agree that they only care about money. My grandson had to be hospitalized because of hands foot & mouth. No apology was given to my family. That was the last straw we took him out after that. I do not recommend this daycare. They do not care about cleanliness if I knew who to report them too I would

My experience with Kids R kids was dreadful Jean and Meredith are selfish and it's ironic that most of Jeans family works there I wasn't there for a full month before the issue started Jean expects special treatment for her granddaughter and I don’t believe in that everyone gets treated the same l've been bitten, hit, spit on, called the “B and N” in the classroom
by toddlers and when reporting it to the office they dismiss it, but if anything happens to her granddaughter, staff gets wrote up or fired This daycare is very unclean I was told gloves don't need to be changed between diaper changes which I find unsanitary kids still come in sick
hygiene is extremely bad my child has never been as unwell since being there hands and feet is very bad in the daycare it’s not taken seriously as it should
And it's strange to request staff to purchase supplies because they don't provide them staff has been requesting simple items for months and going without and then have parents complain because they're only watching learning videos since there are no supplies for crafts or toys They mistreat staff very poorly and allow parents to speak rudely to employees parents can accuse staff of mistreating or abusing kids and the front will agree without any proof or refuse to show proof and then complain how they are low staffed how about focusing more on the classroom needs instead of field trips how about concentrating more on the well-being of your employees and their needs and learn better communicate and be more understanding with your employees Focus more on the behavioral issues with the children Because Meredith told me “ You don’t know what that parent is going through they might be having a rough day and then come pick up their kid and take it out on you” excuse me so your basically telling me it’s okay for a parent to talk rudely to an employee and I’m just suppose to take it find someone else to play with because I’m not the one my advice is find another child care provider because this is not it!!!!
But I did love working with all the back staff teachers very loving care and understanding group of people to work with !!

My three grandchildren go to this school and I as a Childcare Director and have been for many years am amazed at the love and care and the wonderful teaching your staff has done with my grandchildren. I have been more than pleased and you have exceeded all my expectations. Every time I come to visit them I am in awe of the learning they have received from your school. Thank you so much for making this Grandmother proud.

I thought this place was a good fit for my daughter and she loved being there. But after several months of being here things were very unprofessional. I had been told about so many kids being sick yet the place never seemed to get cleaned. As a parent you would think they would find an outbreak of RSV as an issue. Management is very rude and has poor communication with things going on. If you chose to come to this daycare I would do your research and find another place that will do more. All they care about is enrollment to make more money and not about the children. Also the amount of teachers that are in and out of there is over the top!

Learning what I now know, I wish there was more honest reviews as I would have never enrolled my daughter here.
They are full of excuses no matter what you bring to the assistant director and or directors attention. They are more worried about their enrollment.
I was fully open and honest about my daughter’s diagnosis and they stressed to me not to worry and her needs to be accommodated. You have to jump through so much for just get basic accommodations for your child.
You have to deal with horrible food options for your children. Example: breakfast being hostess danishes and constant fried items for lunch. Nothing is fresh.
To add on top of this, you have to worry about if teachers are even present in the classroom with your children. This occurred twice, that I am aware of. Who knows if there were more times my daughter and other children were left on attended.
Once specific time I walked in with no teacher in the classroom and my daughter, along with other children were standing on top of a table.
On a separate occasion, same teacher, was not present. She later came into the room after a minute of me standing there looking for a teacher. Finally, the teacher came back. I brought this up to the director and assistant and they viewed video footage and second she was gone from the classroom for a few seconds. Meanwhile, I was in the classroom looking for the teacher for at least a minute. They called me that evening after the incident and said they are letting the teacher go as this is the second time this has happened, the next day the same teacher is there. Not that I wanted anyone to lose their job, but how are you going to continue to let that happen?
They also can’t get their stories straight. An incident occurred and my daughter had a horrible scratch on her face. I got three different stories. I refused to sign the incident form until I got the truth. After viewing the tape, they couldn’t really tell due to the spot she was standing was out of view of camera. I then brought up the fact they need another camera to fill the void, it still hasn’t been done. I even emailed the owner to no avail there is still no camera.
My daughter would come home with many bites marks from children biting her. At least 5 incidents. I brought this up to everyone’s attention and how unacceptable this is and how they need to take action, nothing was done.
I’ve had enough excuses from the whole staff. Don’t waste your time and go somewhere else.
To add to this all, I was dropping my daughter off and a dad was complaining to the front desk how his child had an incident and the father found out because his child told him and he hasn’t heard anything from the center.

Ms. Angel was a great teacher for my daughter, but we decided to disenroll her last year after a substitute teacher assaulted her. I recorded the incident on my personal phone while picking up my daughter. Following an investigation, the school informed us that the substitute teacher received a warning letter and training on toddler care. They mentioned that the teacher usually cares for babies and is not accustomed to toddlers moving around. We’ve since found another school that treats our daughter with love and respect. Considering safety concerns mentioned in various reviews, I suggest the school conducts additional training to ensure the safety of all children.

My son attended this campus last year. I took him out due to poor communication from staff and high turnover rate. He had a new teacher every month it seemed like. Staff was very cold and unfriendly especially with us being new. The facility is really clean which I appreciated.

My little Karter has been going to KRK since he was almost 2. He went to Ms. Angel's class first and she was the absolute best! He then moved down a couple suites and went to 400. They were also really good with him. Once he got into Suite 550 with Ms. Claudia, that is when I noticed how much he had learned. He knows how to spell his first and last name completely, all his ABCs, numbers, shapes, and colors. He can even count in Spanish and say his ABCs in Spanish and he can do simple math. He always comes home with good things to say about his class. Everyone there is so kind and they know him by name. I am looking forward to him finishing his Pre-K year here. Would recommend KRK to any parent!

There are better Daycares out there. Coming from a Montessori to Kids R Kids for afterschool program was a big mistake. Within 1-2 weeks of my child being there, there was an incident where camera footage had to be pulled and a staff member did not follow protocols appropriately. The Staff members are not the most hospitable or informative individuals in regards to my Kindergarten child’s day. Lastly, I unenrolled my child from Kids R Kids after only being there a month because my child frequently expressed he did not want to go back. Even on weekends he would express his concerns about attending Kids R Kids. I listen to my child’s voice and removed him. Kids r Kids would not issue a prorated refund of my $200 yearly supply list fee. My child came 3 days a week after school and barely came the last 2 weeks because I would pick him up from school or straight off the bus due to him not feeling comfortable in that environment. There are better afterschool options out there. Take my advice!
