Revolution Dojo Katy is one of the best jiu-jitsu schools in the Houston area, providing the best instruction for all skill levels from the inexperienced to elite competitors. The BJJ training is second to none, with the combined knowledge of well-known competitors and knowledgeable coaches. The martial arts programs include Muay Thai Kickboxing, MMA, Judo, and Kids Martial Arts. The gym offers a really friendly and welcoming environment where everyone is treated with kindness and respect regardless of ability or experience. It is a place where people train hard *and* are kind and welcoming, making it a rare and valuable find. The team will push you to be better every day in a safe and positive learning environment. It has become a real family, full of very caring and supportive people who are helpful and understanding. The Katy location has a large mat space, a weight lifting area, and is full of different belts and degrees, allowing for lots of different looks. There are classes throughout the day and week with a good variety, from gi to no gi, and competition classes to women-only classes. The Kids Martial Arts programs have a large kids competition team with a proven success rate and also provide Bully Defense teaching. It is an excellent skill you can take with you into any part of your life, recommended to both an abject beginner and an established competitor alike.
I walked into Revolution not knowing a thing about bjj and all of the professors and students are very patient with me. Professor Jeff’s beginner class on Monday is a good start. Just walk in and try it out. You’ll become hooked.

Really friendly and welcoming environment, the katy location also aside from a large mat space had a weight lifting area and more! The mat was full of different belts and degrees on a Monday which made for lots of different looks on rolls. If you are in the area i recommend checking them out!

Shout out to Coach Messina! This gym is super clean and has a weight room along with a huge mat that allows for enough space for you to practice on your own or join the students. Everybody was extremely welcoming. Highly recommend you swing by and check out the academy.
