Spoke with Kevin today and he was a huge help for me as I prepare for my first tax season as a business owner. I had always done my own taxes until 2022. We bought a rental property and needed help. So we used Mike for the first time after he came recommended... which ended up costing over $3000. They made a couple mistakes by not submitting the cost basis for our crypto investments leading the IRS to send us a nastygram to either pay tens of thousands of dollars in taxes for "unclaimed income" or identify the mistake. I reached out to Mike for help correcting HIS mistake...to which he responded with "if you pay me at $500/hour." After hours of pouring over the tax filing, and multiple rounds of conversations with the IRS, found the mistakes and corrected them on our own. I'm not a CPA, but apparently can do a better job than Mike. This year I did my own taxes again in Turbotax costing me a total of $250 (with audit protection!), and I did my entire taxes in less time than it took me just to fix Mike's mistake. Do not recommend ever using this company.

I am not usually one to write a review, but I feel compelled to this time around. When I first spoke with Kevin, I felt confident in their ability to help me with my taxes after having a very bad experience with my previous CPA team. I was told an estimate on cost, as well as that cost should go down in the future years. He also coached me on how to set up my corporation and payroll services. Fast forward 10 months later - How he told me to set up payroll was incorrect which caused many hours of their time to correct it, that I am sure I ended up paying for. I was passed around to 3-4 different team members for collecting data and putting the returns together, which I got countless emails asking for information that I had already provided. Then, the bill came. It was more than DOUBLE what they told me it should be. They gave me a very very small refund to make up for it and said that costs went up, but even after the refund it was still double what I was originally told. Bonus - one of the 'savings' strategies mentioned, while it did save money, he did not explain the long term implications of it and that it could actually cost me more later because of it. The 'cost' for this strategy, was an additional fee that when I asked how much it would be I was told one number, and again it was almost double that number as well. From the high level of stress and anxiety, mixed with more money than I have ever spent on tax services, it was definitely not worth the 'savings' they claimed to have found.

Kevin and his team do an amazing job serving their clients. If you’re like me, I was terrified and expected to be embarrassed to have a professional CPA look at my personal and business financials. After the first 60 minutes I felt not only at ease, but knew I was going to succeed in consolidating my (what I thought was a mess) accounting situation. Not only was my situation not as bad as I thought after their consultation, but through their planning and referral partners, I went from uncertainty to excitement. I have gone back three times for personal one-on-one consult and and continue to feel better after each visit. Get with the guys asap, it’s worth every penny!

Very confusing process and solutions used. Staff does not seem to have a good grasp on how to resolve issues with the IRS filing process and puts the clarification and resolution on your shoulders and time. Completing the tax return is used as the completion of service milestone for payment, when it seems like a successful filing should be the milestone. I used them to help manage some stock grant sale filing, but it's not worth an extra $1000 over Turbo Tax. Will be looking elsewhere next year.
