I had an absolutely fantastic experience with this establishment. Long story short: I bought a brand new pair of Justin Boots and after wearing them a half dozen times or so I came to the realization they were just stupid uncomfortable. I took them to Amado’s before trying to sell them second hand at a loss. When I dropped them off I was told 2 weeks. I just picked them up after 3 1/2 weeks. I have zero problem with that. Amado’s fixed them and they are PERFECT!! I would’ve paid 3 times what I was charged. EASY!! I paid the fee and left a generous tip. I could not be more pleased. For all the people who left low ratings based on how long they kept a pair of shoes/boots/etc, you should see the pile of boots they have that need to be worked on. I would’ve waited another 2 weeks for the result I got…no problem. The gentleman who runs the place is not a conversationalist but he is certainly not rude. I will continue to use Amado’s whenever I need boot/shoe repair.

I took a pair of cowboy boots more than a month ago. Today I went to get them , and they could not find them. So I am out luck, and no boots. I would not take anything else to him , there is other places around community and so rounding towns. Awful experience

Pretty gift shop and shoe repair shop. I love visiting and buying from small businesses. So should everyone else. There is something for everyone.

I would highly recommend this place if you want to get your shoes repaired! Ernest is the excellent Craftsman and always does an excellent job. The latest job he did for me was to change out a pair of high heeled riding cowboy boots to flat heeled boots. He did such a great job I think I'll bring another pair!

Took sandals for repair. Advised it would be 3 weeks. At week 5, requested my sandals back and they hadn't even started working on them.

STAY AWAY. I had gotten a new number, did not think to call them about it, I figured they would send me a letter at least, and instead of sending me a letter to my home address they sold my boots apparently. $500 gone. will never do business with them again. They acted like it was no big deal, that its my fault for them selling my boots and pocketing the money.

Wow! I can't believe Amado's has such a low rating. I first stumbled on this shoe shop after visiting Wilsons's Bar nearby. I was inquiring about any good cobblers in the area, as the trade is pretty much non-existing these days. I went by and met Ernest and his brother that day and asked if they could do the work I needed. Long story short, these guys are the best cobblers I have come across in Texas! I've had them stretch boots, make belts, and repair holsters as well as boot and shoe soles. Unfortunately Ernest's mother fell ill, and then his brother. Who, unfortunately can no longer work, so it's now only a one man operation. But he's still trying to serve the community with quality workmanship. This is not a fast food joint. Quality work takes time, and you get what you pay for. I'm happy to add that Amado's prices are very affordable. I'd much rather use a good, honest, Christian shop that truly cares about it's customers!

Friendly- But takes way too long to get boots done. Was told 6 weeks to get done. Almost 3 MONTHS later they finally got done after I just wanted them back. Apparently family health issues were an issue which I understand. Should not try to conduct business if this is the case. Close your doors until you can get them done & quit saying "next week" they will be done when asked. Will never take boots to get repaired there again!!

After a month, just had to go pick up my boots. I was told “next weekâ€, but never got done. I tried calling, but it was just hung up after a few rings. When I stopped by to inquire, the man was rude but put me at the top of the list for the following week. Nope....still not done. I'll find another place.

Two stars for being friendly.. however, i don't know what it takes to get your work done. i left my boots there for four weeks... each week, the owner promised "next week".
