Had a great experience with Ken at KM Firearms. I would highly recommend them for you LTC course and follow up lessons. Safety is their main concern and they do a great job with their classes at the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center. Also had the pleasure of meeting the director Jack Burch. A true gentlemen and again he promotes an atmosphere of safety and education. True Texas hospitality from everyone I encountered - A+

On April 22, 2023, I attended the Real Estate Agent Safety Course. Kenneth McGehee and Dorys Prentice were the two instructors. Dorys covered the Real Estate Agent Safety aspect, while Kenneth covered safety aspects of handling and shooting a handgun.Dorys’ presentation included mental awareness of one’s surroundings, a multitude safety precautions, and various possible courses of action should the need arise. Please keep in mind, everything was geared towards the Real Estate Industry, but the average individual would benefit from this course as well.Kenneth’s presentation stressed safety, safety, safety! I was shown the proper stance to shoot a gun, the proper way to hold a gun, how to use the sights of the gun, and got shooting range time to practice everything discussed. All the time, he was clear and concise about the safety practices of the shooting range we were using.Please know I had never fired a handgun before. Between Dorys and Kenneth, they were encouraging and very patient with me. You do not become an expert in six hours, but I got a well-rounded beginner course. If you are serious about learning to shoot a gun, it will take commitment and a willingness to practice, practice, practice.To conclude this review, it was money well spent! Thank you, Dorys and Kenneth!

I recently took Ken's LTC class. He was a great instructor. I was nervous as I have never shot a hand gun before. He spent extra time with me to help me feel more comfortable. I really enjoyed this class.

This class is for the true beginner and experience firearm user. My daughter was apprehensive but after spending 1/1 time with Ken she not only gained comfort but also a great knowledge of firearm safety and proficiency

I recently did an LTC with Ken, He is friendly, approachable and easy to work with. He takes firearms and fire arms training seriously and acts professionally; as it should be. This made it an excellent all around experience.

Took my LTC carry class today with Ken and his team, and had an incredible experience. I've taken a similar course in another state, and I can say that this class was more informative, engaging, and Ken is an awesome instructor.We had people with little to no experience who felt very comfortable and right at home here. A fantastic LTC experience, and I will definitely be looking into other classes to improve my skills.Don't hesitate taking a class with Ken! You won't regret it!

Excellent instruction in a safe and comfortable environment. Beginners and LTC holders alike, we can all gain something from this course. I am an LTC holder and I took this course with my sister who had never held a handgun before. We both came away feeling it was afternoon well spent. My sister learned enough to feel comfortable at the range and go for her LTC and I feel more confident with my firearm. Both instructors have vast defensive knowledge and are eager to help you feel confident in defending yourself and your loved ones. They provide an enormous amount of information, well balanced with a good sense of humor and plenty of practice. Ask questions because they have good answers and most importantly have fun and learn.

Ken is a fantastic instructor and will drill in good fundamentals to be a safer and more accurate shooter. Even if you have your LTC, I took the NRA Basic Pistol Course to learn more, and that's exactly what I got, and came out of that class more accurate then ever before. Don't be afraid to ask questions, he has a wealth of knowledge.Make sure you drop in at Hill Country Shooting Sports Center while you're there, say a big hello to Jack and the rest of the staff, for they'll be like family the more you visit! I look forward on attending future classes for other area's, because you can never stop learning!Give him a call or email, he does it all and will work with your busy schedule!Thanks Ken!
