The grooming service there, particularly with Denise, is excellent. They are very knowledgeable and professional. They take very good care of my doggies.

Very helpful and friendly employees. Large selection of foods for pets. Would give 5 stars if each time we went in that the food we purchase was available. Luckily we always keep ahead on food in our home for our dogs. Also wish they gave military discount due to large number of military presence in the area and military spreads the words on Veteran friendly businesses.

Went in to buy fish and bought six guppies and one they scooped up was dead and instead of throwing it out they just scooped up a new one and gave me dead one in the bag as well. the guy was rude and made me show proof of age. the new kid asked what to do about the dead fish and the older one said "eh just throw in a extra one" like he was doing me a service by giving me a dead fish

I really am glad Kerrville has a place like this you can get high quality pet products. They are expensive, but they sometimes have great deals and perks. I’ll be going back!

I took my 22 pound Pomaweinie for a grooming this morning. She has been groomed there about 6 times in the past 2 years. Today, after paying for the grooming and tipping the groomer Gabby, I was told that "Unfortunately Molly can not be groomed there again because she would not stand for the grooming. She kept sitting down" I took Molly and left without incident. They can check the cameras for that information. I called the manager David, who told me that maybe I should find another groomer. I then called corporate, who said, "Is this Merredith?" WTH? I guess they were expecting my call. Corporate then asked if I was banned from the store! Again, I left without incident. This is very disheartening to me, as the price and the grooming service and the location have always been good.

The staff in general are usually friendly. I shop here often, but it’s really the only choice in Kerrville. There is definitely a lack of patience within the last 30 minutes of the store being open, and they often lock the doors before the actual closing time. There are items I purchase here that you can’t buy in store anywhere else in town, but if I had the option to I would go elsewhere.

The staff seems to care about their animals, but that being said they take none of the steps for "adoption" like other stores I've visited In the chain of pet supply plus. Along with almost every time I've been in there the fish are in poor health. I understand fish are not the easiest to take care of but none the less, it's consistent that the fish in this store are sick and will die.No paper work was filled out. There was no guarantee that if the animal was sick or passed away that they would be held accountable or refund the purchase.I only say this because I've been to other stores and they followed procedures as mentioned above.I hope to see better in the future.

On July 5th, I was up here in the hill country visiting my Mother. Walking by the groomer section , I stopped and saw the little shitzu that was being groomed . The dog was in a sling so he could get his nails clipped. The dog was moving a bit and the groomer asked the dog to stop. The dog continued wiggling and then she preceded to tell the dog, I'm going to pull your tail if you don't stop. i Was pretty shocked to hear this and I would be very angry if I found out that my pet was spoken to like this. I would avoid this groomers at all costs.

Went in to buy a harness and leash for my new dog asked the sales clerk on the floor on recommendations and he shrugged his shoulders stating he doesn't know and to try them on. I had my son with me so I didn't make a big deal but I felt discriminated against and felt dismissed. I shook my head and walked away then he came back and attempted to help us. Everyone else was friendly though.

The evening employees at Kerrville store on Tuesday June 6, 2023 are rude and unfriendly if you’re not out of that store 10-15 minutes before closing. There was a woman who locked the doors before closing time (9 pm) (with an attitude) and a girl at register (with an attitude) who was downright rude when I was at register to check out. They were both hostile because I wasn’t in & out quick enough! Even though they closed at 9 pm and it was still 4-5 minutes before closing. (I was watching the time on my phone so as to hurry.) Both women were super rude & passive aggressive. I was disappointed to not even be greeted at register and felt extremely uncomfortable by how rude they both were.

A friend of mine fell recently, and wound up in a nursing home. My wife and I are trying to help her get a number of issues resolved. She told me she tried to call Pet Supplies Plus to cancel her pet food delivery subscription, but when she called she was told she just had to "go to the website. It's easy." Well it wasn't easy for her. At the nursing home she had limited access to online resources, so she asked me to stop by the local store. So today I met PSP employee 'David'. David remembered speaking to my friend on the phone. I explained to David her circumstances, and how she was unable to cancel the subscription, and asked him to explain the process to me step-by-step. He pointed to a business card on counter and said "Just go to the website." "What website?", I asked. "THE website". So I pulled out my phone and said "let's try this, why don't you just walk me through it." David was getting agitated at this point. I went to the PSP website, and he instructed me to click on the 'Rewards' button. Okay - done. "Now enter your account info!" - I explained according to my friend she doesn't have any account info. "She has to!" says David. I explained she told me she came into the store and someone set up the subscription more than a year ago, she doesn't know of any account info. "Well, I don't know anything about that!" says David. So how does she cancel the subscription? "You have to go through the website!" says David, who is clearly losing his temper. I ask "There certainly has to be some way to cancel this thing - does she have to tell the credit card company to deny the charge?" "Yes - that's one way to do it", says David. "You're not seriously suggesting she go through her bank to get this thing cancelled..." I say. "What I'm suggesting is that she needs to take care of her own business!" replies David. (yes... to the 78-year old woman who is now in a nursing home. PSP chooses to hire some ... interesting ... people) So - if you are contemplating signing up to have your pet food delivered from Pet Supplies Plus, please bear this experience in mind. They are more than happy to sign you up and take your money. When the time comes to terminate the arrangement... please say 'Hi' to David for me.
