Worst ER to go too. My boyfriend and I went September 3rd @11:00 p.m. and left @3:30 a.m. we waited for 4 hours to be seen. We waited 2 1/2 hours and no one checked up on us until my boyfriend accidentally pressed the call button and a nurse came to check on us. Nurse stated she would let a provider know. A provider came in 30 mins later and said he would do 2-3 stitches, the provider never came back and we continued to waited till 3:30 we decided to leave the E.R. wasn’t packed. Nurses were great the problem is the DOCTOR. Nurse apologized to us that she doesn't know why the doctor was taking forever.

My wife was in the ER a few months ago for severe abdominal pain, as a turns out it they ruled it as just intense menstrual pain and sent us on our way. Yea that visit was $4800 hundred dollars for less than an hour stay. We later had to go to a specialist because it was not as they had said. This hospital is a complete joke, I’ve heard nothing but horror stories from this place since I’ve lived here for the past 18 years. Too bad we don’t have any other options close by in case of emergency. I’m honestly surprised that anyone that visits this trash hospital walks out alive. How can this place even stay open? Seriously this place needs to be shutdown. Kerrville would be better off without it anyways, it’s not like they are an actual reputable place. If I had to describe this place with one word, it would be: Incompetence

I was kinda scared at first being so far away from home and away from my babies but the staff at Peterson is amazing. I stayed for about a week or so in the inpatient rehab center due to severe blood clots in my legs and not being able to walk after 3 pretty significant procedures. I was bedridden for about 3 weeks and then transferred to Peterson’s. I honestly was so depressed at first but the staff made me feel so loved and helped me overcome my depression. They have a phenomenal PT and OT program and great food too. Thank you to my OT and PT ladies and the nurses for everything yall did for me yall truly have been a big blessing to me and got me up and walking quickly

I went to the ER for an eye injury. I waited four hours to have a doctor look at it for a moment just to instantly send me on my way. First thing they asked for was my insurance, but they never used it. Now they want me to pay $1700 for horrible care. If you have the means, just head to Fredericksburg, because they'll actually do something for you.

Yesterday I went to the er around 5:40pm for constant fever and dizziness and lower abdominal pain doctor jones was amazing he’s not the problem it’s his nurses the nurse came in and gave me a pain med that had to go thru my IV and when she put it in she just pushed it in all at once ( 4mls) and I told her “ omg it really stings is it supposed to sting and burn ?”and she responded with “ Yea but just a little you’ll be fine” like what are kidding me then she literally ripped the tape that was holding my IV to the point where I literally started to squirt blood everywhere ( I’m talking about the big bruise) now the bunch of little bruises are from the nurse saying found my vine then she puts it in and all of the sudden it’s not there. like yes if it was just once that it had happened then I wouldn’t be on here but it’s not it took her 4 times. Also how is it that I go in for lower abdominal pain and I was there for 4 1/2 hours and y’all came up with nothing this is why I hate going to this hospital the staff are just don’t care

Avoid this hospital at all costs if you enjoy living. We walked into an empty emergency room and the receptionist treated us like we were there for morning tea, no urgency at all. The nurses in the back were all doing absolutely nothing - a security guard had to get us a pillow because they were too busy scrolling on TikTok. The doctor was condescending, rude, and zero help. We would've been better off using WebMD than wasting time coming here.

I had to bring my mother, who is a Type II Diabetic, into the ED two nights ago due to general weakness and nausea. Dr. Larsen was attending to my mother but was flippant, arrogant and non-approachable when we sought out more answers regarding the cause of her weakness and low glucose. If you need to go to the ED it might be best to review the ED physician on call first.

My special need son had bad abdominal pain after taking trash out to the street. He had a bad hernia that had ruptured on the lower belly. We took him to the ER and they immediately took care of him. The staff were great and the RN's, Monica and Tammy took extremely care of my son. Ct Scan showed that my sons hernia had ruptured. Dr. Berg came in and immediately began to push his intestines back into the cavity wall. 3 morphine shots and my son was still in pain. After 30 minutes, Dr Berg had successfully pushed it back in. Pain subsided immediately. My son still needs surgery, but he does not an emergency surgery.Thank you, to all the staff and Doctor's Berg and Livingston. Best experience we had in a ER hospital..

I was recently hospitalized for six days at Peterson Regional. I can honestly say that this is the best hospital I have ever been to. The staff and doctors were first class, and I received personalized, kind, and attentive care. The staff even found an unrelated condition while I was there that they treated me for. A few days after going home I received a card in the mail that all the nurses signed. I will definitely be back if I need hospital care.

I was told by the nurses station that there was a specific surgeon on-call/on-duty, so I drove an hour to get service to remove a food item lodged in my esophagus. After 2 hours of additional procedures, I was informed that there wasn't a surgeon available.Oh well, have a nice day.

I got back in November. Went in to rhe ER having trouble breathing, my breathing was rattling and coughing up green goo. The doctor only came close to me once, he put the stethoscope to my chest from arms length for maybe three seconds then left.I was then discharged, no meds, no assistance what so ever for my breathing. Went to the hospital in new braunfels and was diagnosed with phenomenon. Peterson medical center does not care about their patients, only dollar sings. I could have died with medical assistance. The nurses and techs are great the doctors are not doctors the are just looking to get paid and if you are not covered or your medical insurances is not the greatest good luck.Oh and I am discussing thing's with legal council to see what my options are. If you have been victim to their shotty care. Talk to a lawyer.

Went to ER with high fever and cough. Was given the best care and well taken care of. Even while waiting on room in hospital was checked on and kept comfortable. When transferred to the third floor Friday night, was greeted and well informed of what was going to happen and all that stuff. Was there for almost 6 days, entire staff was wonderful, could not have been taken better care of. I want to give the ER staff and 3rd floor staff a big hug and thank you.Rick Martin
