Great privately owned US Post Office and Hill Country Candy Cottage. Really unique candies, sodas, and various things not found in other stores in Kerrville. The owner was very cordial and a great place to buy stamps and lots of other goodies. It is easy to get into the business. Fun shop next door to Dickies BarBQ.

This small post office is always happy to help, very friendly and courteous. Have been coming here for years and love the new addition of the old time candy shop with lots of choices for jelly bellies by the pound.

Use FedEx! You may pay a little more but you will not have to deal with employees that don’t want to help customers. Poor service!!!

Love this little shop. Very nice staff/owners. Cool selection of retro candy, and lots of Jelly Belly products...also lots of other random fun products in here.As with a lot of little privately owned shops, they do charge a 3.5% fee if you use a cc, which makes sense given how much cc companies charge nowadays.Usually little to no wait, quick service, and always a nice selection of stamps!

The candy shop is so fun and full of nostalgic goodies you can’t get anywhere else in town! The post office is an amazing gem the town needed! Rarely any lines and they accept credit cards now. They always help me find the best shipping and packaging options for what I need - especially when sending military care packages! ??❤️

I'm a high volume ebay seller. Almost all the city post offices treat me like I'm a problem because I make them do their jobs. This post office DOESNT. They appreciate me instead! I make it a point to bring my packages here and support them. Negative comments about this place is ridiculous. Mad because they charge credit card fees??? Really?? Thanks for being here guys! Yall are appreciated.

The 3.5% credit card fee is fair. I have been a customer to this post office for years, I love it. Very friendly and usually faster than big post office. What the negative people posting reviews here don't realize, or maybe don't care about, is this isn't a government run post office it is a special kind of post office run by a local family at NO PROFIT just to keep it open to the public. It does pretty much everything the big post office does and it is actually a REAL post office but they MUST close at 4pm and CANNOT take anymore mail after 4pm because the mail trucks come at 4pm to take all the mail and they are on a tight schedule. If you are 4th in line at 3:55pm your package won't get processed in time and there is nothing the clerk can do about it. Also, there are a couple reviews complaining about the fee for credit cards--if the people making those comments could read the signs in the post office they would know exactly why they charge that and only someone in a bad mood would disagree with it. The credit card fee is totally fair and makes sense. Personally I just use cash when I go there or pay the small 3.5% when I use a card. The convenience of going to this post office instead of the big one across the river is worth it. You should go see what I am saying for yourself. Don't listen to negative people with one-sided reviews. Check it out yourself and make up your own mind. It is a cool little place.

This is NOT a US Post Office. It is privately owned. They charge 3% to use a credit card. They told people IN LINE that they would not be able to help them as they were closing in less than 5 minutes. Zero customer service. Go to a real post office.

I read some of the reviews, one thing most people including myself, don't know is that this is a PRIVATELY owned facility. The reason for $15 minimum on Card is anything less than that COSTS MONEY OUT OF THIER POCKET! They have snacks, accessories, they even have a Consignment Corner. They are friendly, helpful and our neighbors!
