Western Union is a business that receives reviews mentioning a clean, well-stocked, and visually attractive store that is huge, taking up a whole city block. It is described as always busy but still maneuverable. Reviewers note the good and friendly service, where staff provide full attention and help customers find what they need. The location is historically significant as the very first store of its kind, maintaining a small-town feel despite expansions that include a barbecue restaurant, curbside service, and gas pumps. The on-site barbecue restaurant is frequently highlighted as fantastic and amazing, with specific praise for items like the brisket cheesesteak and Texas Torpedo, overseen by a brilliant chef. The store offers lots of fresh produce, colorful signage, and lots and lots of samples, particularly at areas like the Cooking Connection. It is also noted for carrying exclusive branded merchandise. The overall impression is of an impressive, topshelf location where the quality of products, especially prime beef and other meats, is consistently praised.
Wasn't sure what to expect going in but man... got the brisket Cheesesteak and man it was topshelf... whoever thought that up is a brilliant chef.

Great products, clean store and really good curbside service. I always go to H‑E‑B over any other grocery store.

The very first HEB! That's cool. This store is clean, well stocked, manuverable even though it's always busy, and the service is good (at least for the week we were in town). Prime beef. Right there on Main Street.
