I came here to upgrade my father's phone, which had finally broken down after a few years. We were looking for something simple and did not want to spend much, especially since my father is very frugal. The salesperson at the store informed us of a promotion that provides a $800 credit for trading in a Samsung for another Samsung, even the new ones and actually, because of the new models. We asked multiple time if there was any stipulations since it seemed too good to be true, my father's phone is quite old and couldn't believe it. He assured us multiple times that his old phone is eligible for the discount.
This was a lie. My father told me that whe he went back to return his old phone within the 30 day period he has to return it (he kept it to make sure everything transferred over) the same salesperson told him it wasn't necessary, which is odd considering it was a trade. So I called corporate to ask about clarification and they confirmed there was no promotion applied and it wasn't even possible since the old phone has to have a minimum $35 value and his only valued at $10.
This wasnt a mistake on our part, again my father would never do this unless the promotion was real since as I said he's the type of frugal man that wouldn't be so selfish. We asked multiple time about the eligibility and he assured us again and again that it was.
Dont come here, I don't know if this was a mistake on his part or this is how they do business but I advise anybody to do some research on everything these salespeople say.

First off it was 82 degrees in the store shown by the thermostat. Secondly, I have a problem with my lines. Why do I have to call from my phone and talk to the customer service when I’m in a store with paid employees that are or should be customer service?

Att quoted me a $830 trade in value for my phone. Said I can bring it in anytime within the next 30 days of my purchase. I bring it in and I was told the max they could do was $350 on trade in. The only excuse from the manager was “the guy who quoted you was new”. I’m sorry, but if you have people working in your store, trade them correctly before they quote you a price that has a $500 difference. This is unacceptable.

10/23/23 I came in and ordered new phones for the family. I ordered an iPhone15 Pro Max for my wife, purchased two iPhone 14 Pro for two of my kids, and ordered an iPhone 14 Pro to be delivered to my son that lives in Oklahoma. My wife's phone arrived within a couple of days. After a couple more days passed and the phone hadn't been delivered in Oklahoma, I looked on the account to see what the hold up was. I then noticed that instead of a 14 Pro, the rep in Kilgore rang up a second 15 Pro Max. It hadn't shipped yet, but it couldn't be canceled or changed because "it was processing."The errant phone arrives in OK. I ask my local store in Kilgore what we should do. They say his mother can take it in there and swap it. The local rep in Durant denies her and says that since she isn't on the account. She can do nothing, even with me standing in an ATT store with an ID and confirming the swap on the phone. So I ask whether the phone should be sent back to the warehouse or sent to me. I am instructed by Kilgore reps to have her send the phone back to the warehouse. It is now 11/6, and the phone is confirmed back at the warehouse. I call customer service, they confirm it, and tell me I can go into the store to do an exchange and order the right phone. I arrive back at the store only to be told that they cannot process an exchange without having the phone present - even though it is confirmed in the warehouse. This is SPECIFICALLY the scenario I asked about when getting advice on where to return. I SPECIFICALLY asked if it should be sent to me or to the warehouse, and was given instructions on how to send it back to the warehouse, and now I'm driving to the corporate store in Longview because Kilgore can't process the swap.I don't know how much more patient I can be in all this. It has been two weeks and countless miles driven trying to get this straight, and has become a strain on the relationship with my son's mother. From store to corporate and back, this has been a complete and total disaster.
