Moved to texas from Pennsylvania October2023, at first customer service was great in Pennsylvania...we rented a moving truck and halfway to texas it started raining and water started pouring over me...when i finally get a chance to look over the truck it had a crack on roof from side to side covered in caulk...suspension was poor since the truck kept constantly serving slightly...finally arrived to texas and placed most items in storage forgetting a bag full of my lady's named brand purses above the passenger seat...not realizing i left them there i delivered the truck to a killeen location...my lady quickly realizes the bags weren't in storage nor at the house...i called and asked and they denied anything being in the truck...i went back to storage and took everything out and put back in and no purses...called customer service and kept giving me the run around....terrible service avoid at all cost...cheap turned out expensive

Veterans and military should avoid this location; the store rep seems to have personal issues with veterans. Will mock your professional tone and bearing and then curse you out while his coworkers tell him to calm down.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!This place is awful. I was supposed to pay around $178 for a truck, ended up paying almost $300. Paid for an additional day on top of the two days included. I am somehow out $625 dollars all together.When you call and ask for help either they don't answer you or they don't know what's going on. Either everyone's incompetent or they're scam artists. Don't recommend at all.

They open at 8. We arrived at 8. Was alerted via their ring camera that they were “running late” and on the way. We waited until 8:20 before someone showed up.Budget Truck Rental website says insurance through them is optional but the lady here tries to tell you it’s mandatory.If this is how you run a business- you have no right to be in business. Do better.

Employees here need to learn to answer the phone. Then when I call 800 number I get non English speaking non helpful people. Just call penske they will price match budget. Much better and yiu get an extra day. Just canceled my booking with budget cause they don't know how to communicate.

The only good thing about my experience was the price. I now know why it was so much cheaper.The website said the closest place I could pick up a truck was an hour and a half away because the trucks at my location didn't have "towing capability" the only reason I know that's not true is becuase I had to visit the local one after I picked up the truck becuase they forgot to give me a hand dolly. So I wasted gas in both my personal car and the truck by driving that far.The truck was horrible. Drove 1000 miles and it sounded like a wind tunnel the whole way. I could see sunlight between the cab and the box of the truck. Guessing that's what the noise was. Road noise was so bad I couldn't hear my son who was sitting right next to me.I'm in the army so I move every 3 years. Never had such a horrible truck from other companies.

Bait and switch. No where on the website does it say you’re REQUIRED to get their insurance. But the woman at the front desk wouldn’t rent the truck to us unless we paid for the $284 insurance. Also, while I was inside, a man returned a truck and let the employee know that the truck broke down and was unsafe to drive causing his 10 hour drive to turn into 20+. Listen to the other reviews and just use Uhaul.

Rented truck with hand truck. Did not have one. Brought it back 2 days early at different location an said I wasn't eligible for deposit back.

Easily the most confusing experience all month. One of the employees said that you have to pay for insurance on the vehicle, so expect to pay up to 30 more than advertised. Also, there is in fact a giant parrot in the lobby...

We booked our truck on October 2nd, 2020 for October 23 - October 28. When arriving at pick up time, the man working unapologetically told they do not have a truck for us. Unprofessional and disrespectful. Do not rent from here!

Had to do a sunday drop off - they were closed. Left a copy of my receipt with the keys when i dropped of the truck. Receipt stated all damages that were on the truck when i got it. These people conveniently lost my receipt, charged me over $1000 in damages amd were rude when i called to get help. They do NOTHING all day, but have the nerve to act like you are bothering them when they have to do the job they are being paid for. Welcome to texas - NOT!!!
