What a nightmare and we are still living it. It started on 7/26/23. Our driver canceled and the company sent two straight trucks to load our household items to bring to their storage facility. That crew was great, careful, courteous and professional. I thought we were going to get great service, man was I wrong!!! My trip coordinator was a nice person but never communicated. My belongings sat in their warehouse until 8/1/2023 when most of my heirloom items were CRAMMED into half a truck fracturing a number of pieces handed down from previous generations. The tears wept were significant. Approximately 55 pieces were left in the Killeen storehouse and I am still awaiting delivery scheduled for 8/15/2023. I don't know what condition these items will be in when they arrive, hoping for the best. I chose North American because of their stellar reputation and high rating. I had cheaper quotes but decided not to contract with them because I wanted to protect family heirlooms for future generations.That didn't work. I will now have to experience their claims services. I am a retired, old Vietnam vet who was hoping and planning for a final easy move to get closer to kids and grand kids.Steve Squires

We had an excellent out of state moving experience with North American Van Lines! The same two workers who loaded our truck delivered and unloaded it for us. Communication was great and they worked with our timeline. Would highly recommend to anyone moving out of state!

Worse experience I have ever had with any company. Called in on multiple occasions with numerous complaints. Every time I am told a manager will get back to me, and they have yet to do so. This company lied on my price quote. I was given a $3800 moving total. I paid 1/3rd up front. When movers arrived, they loaded up my items then gave me a contract with the piece of over $14,000. They told me if I didn’t pay half now they would keep my items amd not return them to me. The drivers were sketchy and offered that I pay them $600 through Venmo if I wanted my items back right now. They damaged all of my items. I have well over $10,000 in damages. I filed a complaint against the company and they have yet to contact me back. Do your self a favor and do not use this company. They will take your money and leave you stranded. I have copies of 2 different contracts that I was given and each contract has errors that were corrected. This is a scam company. Avoid them if you can.Horrible company to hire, and a scam company that will take your money and never call you back.

Price was reasonable and the packers were awesome. The HUGE problem came when they showed up with a small truck that the packers and myself KNEW would NOT be large enough. Did they order another truck, NO. Instead, we were left with items that they could not fit into the small truck and the packing van that was there. When I confronted the man who was the estimator, he tried telling me that the reason all didn't fit was because we had them pack items that were not orginally going to take. WRONG!! So it was my fault that all our things didn't fit? REALLY?? They didn't even pack up the garage. Admit you screwed up. How about I am so sorry?

Do not use this moving company. I had antique and vintage items that were more sentimental than valuable and irreplaceable. They stuffed my lampshades on top of each other and dented them. They stuffed a crystal chandelier in a box without removing the hanging crystals. I found crystals in my driveway that fell off when they brought in. Packers were horrible!!! I had flower arrangements that my deceased mom made and was assured that they’d pack to stay intact. The ladies just threw them in a box and 1/2 the peacock feathers and dried flowers arrived broken!! My mom hand painted 2 beautiful 5 ft statues on pedestals and when they were moving my piano out they bumped them and chipped the base!! Do not trust this company if you have irreplaceable items. To top it off they delivered days late! I wasted a day off work bc if there miscommunication internally! Find a different company!

This company recently moved me from an apartment a block away to my new house in Belton. For this they charged me over $2,000. This price wasn't negotiable either - the estimator eyeballs your inventory and then you're stuck with whatever he comes up with. If you only use one third of the wardrobe boxes or whatever, you still pay for whatever boxes he thought you needed. You also pay before they've offloaded your stuff, so there's no motivation to do a good job. And forget about setting up your tv or washer-dryer. I begged them to do the latter, or they wouldn't have done it. It's not part of their customer service - which is do the least amount of work for the most money. Even though I didn't ask them to set up my tv, I found out after they departed that they hadn't even taken it out of the box and set it in my console. They left it on the fireplace hearth next to it. There was no way I could move that myself, so it sat there until I could get a friend over to set it basically a foot away. Several items were chipped or otherwise damaged in the move, but thank God nothing that was irreplaceable or heirloom was destroyed or "lost." They damaged two antiques (a curio cabinet and a 60 year old solid maple table), but I made no claim as I couldn't prove that might not have happened anyway moving it myself. But they didn't take the extra care antiques deserve. One real complaint I had was that I had two boxes of antique silverware, which Jenna (the supervisor who oversaw much of the move) knew about and assured me special care would be taken with. Both were packed on their side, and especially with one when opened, all the beautiful pieces fell out of their slots and into the box or onto the floor. It took me quite awhile to redo that. I sent staff pictures of this. Again, no claim because nothing was missing and nothing seemed to be damaged. They did break several items in one box, a vase, two champagne glasses and several decanter glasses. I had planned to make a claim, but when I came to the end of my unpacking, and found nothing else broken, having bought only the minimum coverage, it probably wouldn't have been worth my time to pursue. Again, nothing irreplaceable was broken. I had two champagne glasses from my wedding which thankfully were in another box unharmed. I would not use this company again though, as I think they do the minimum to get your money and that's it. They did cart away a number of items which I no longer needed (bedroom furniture for one) and I appreciated that - but frankly they could have used or sold that furniture as it was still in usable shape, and pocketed they money. They moved my plants, also appreciated. I'm giving two stars instead of one because I didn't find any other issues. They also left some items in the wrong rooms - my DVD's in a guest bedroom for example, making me panic at first when I didn't find with the living room stuff. All in all, I think I should have gone with Mayflower. They wanted about $500 more, but maybe I would have had a better experience.
