Went to this church and at first they seemed like a good place. People seemed nice and inviting at first. After service I asked the Pastor if they had any volunteers opportunities. Was told this church had to pretty much interview you to see if you were a fit for them. I thought that was a very odd statement to make. Was this house a house of GOD or not? Since when do you pick and choose who you allow into my father's house? I could tell the pastor was trying to size me up and figure out what I was all about. I had been looking for a church to help me get thru my depression since I lost my son 6 months ago. Interestingly enough when I first got there I encountered one demeanor with the Pastor when church was full with people and after service I was shocked to see that I was spoken to a different way. This church is filled with ONLY White members of church and I guess I was not the right shade to be able to be a member of their church. Guess minorities or anyone who makes them feel uncomfortable are not welcome. Your better off trying out a different church. Don't waste your time with this one

We used to go to this church all the time, as soon as they got their new pastor it all went down. They pick and choose who they "support". My mom was in the hospital for almost a week and neither the pastor nor the deacons or anyone reached out to ask how she was and if we need anything. But let it be one of the ones that's more "beneficial" to the church; there would've been cards sent and Facebook posts asking for prayers and fundraisers. The pastor has posted on Facebook asking people to tithe more because they aren't making enough. Yet most of the tithing goes to the pastors paycheck. They do not know how to prioritize their money, and have remodeled and spent unnecessary money on remodeling countless times. They used to do mission trips to other countries, but haven't done one in YEARS. Once covid hit, they have said the "gleaners" (older ladies Sunday school class) cannot come back. Most of these ladies have been there almost since the church first opened and are not allowed to come back, and the pastor has taken the stuff out of their class room and are using it for something else. Going back to something I mentioned before, the remodeling. They remodeled a lot of the church, except the youth room (which is the oldest part of the building) my guess is because it's not the first thing people see when they come to the church and they want it to look nice for "newcomers". The youth offered to do their own fundraisers to pay for this remodeling but we're turned down. Then as soon as some of the original youth group members stopped going to the church completely, they remodeled for the new people. I have been going to this church since I was 2 and am very disappointed to see how it has turned out. I do not recommend. However I can happily recommend First Baptist Church of Harker Heights!!

Very welcoming and kind. A church that preaches the truth of God! Thankful to be part of this Church!

This Church has the most real experience I have ever had with the Bible. Pastor Ashley is a great theologian and everything he teaches in his sermon is straightforward and Biblical based. The church is also very welcoming to visitors and accepting to everyone.

I absolutely love this church. I came to the area seeking to grow deeper in my relationship with the Lord. Through fellowship with others, worship, bible studies, sunday school and other activities, I have grown so much spiritually. I appreciate the hard work and dedication each staff member has put into their work here and continues to do so each week. This church is my family.

If you are looking for a home church I highly recommend this one! Preaching stays true to the word of God! Much emphasis on discipling people and helping you grow as a believer. Kind, friendly people who will get to know you and make you a member of the family

Been attending this church for nearly four years, strong Biblical preaching. The pastor is committed to teaching from the Word and a places a strong emphasis on discipleship.

This church places a huge emphasis on sound teaching and discipleship. This is not a place to come if you are interested in watered down sermons and topical teaching. If you decide to visit us, expect to be challenged in your perspective. Its an outstanding atmosphere with people who love the Lord and people who are interested in being the church, not just visiting it one day a week.
