Fruits haven't been good this year to me

I purchased items today and checked out through the self checkout line. It was a big order. I get home to notice I’m missing the bacon. I called the store to see if anyone has turned anything in. Customer service response was where did I check out at. I told her self check out. She said no one has turned anything in but if you have your receipt we will replace it. I thanked her and sent my husband to retrieve the item. Almost an hour go by before my husband comes back empty handed. He explained that the manager was blaming us and my husband was told most likely they will not replace it. My issue is my husband didn’t come back on a “maybe” or even assuming they will replace it. We were told that they will replace it by phone call before returning to the store. I feel like once the manager saw the race of my husband which is African American she refused and gave excuses for her employees to relay to my husband on why they wouldn’t replace the item. I called after my husband returned home because I couldn’t believe how he got treated just for the manager to get on the phone and be completely rude and interrupt me when telling my issue. She then proceeded to continue to say it’s our fault and tell me their protocol and how they need to look at the cameras to determine if they are going to replace the item. Which she also determined they wouldn’t. I explained to her I wasn’t told they had to do anything before deciding. I was told by a Walmart employee that they would replace it just bring my receipt. While still addressing my concerns the manager hangs up in my face mid conversation. I would of never sent my husband that have served for this country to be humiliated in front of the whole store over BACON! It’s nice to know this is how veterans are treated and talked to at this establishment. We wasted gas and time and our whole day has been ruined. Nothing is cheap anymore and ever dollar counts. I was willing to accept my wrong in accidentally leaving the bacon over the phone when speaking with an employee and taking the loss but for an employee to offer to replace it and then when we get there and the manager decides something different, had us wait along time to decide not to honor what was told to us and humiliate my husband and talk to me the way she did will never be acceptable!

I was in here on Wednesday. The milk was horrible! I was shocked that any store would actually even put it out for customers to buy. Some had the tops pushed in like they had been dropped, and others looked molded! It might have been mud all over them, I did not touch them. This was the Great Value whole milk. Others were upset and wondering what was going on. Usually this is a clean store. Busy, hard to get checked out.
When I did get to the register sadly the cashier was having a very bad day. He rang up the customers items, and before she even got her items in her basket he was telling me what I owed. He put her laundry soap with my bag. She was like ok young stop with the hair slinging and Im gonna check my bags, hers. Make sure we have the right items. I didn't pay till all was done. As soon as I did pay he walked off. Ummmm ok, I yelled, yes I AM that person. Have a great day to you to young man!!! It got some looks but hey man if you dont want to work leave!! Quit!
Will just go to a different Walmart or ughhh HEB.

Feb 2024, I visit this store quite a bit to utilized their money services. Always fast and efficient but not the greatest customer service. The price of the goods here are a bit higher than the supercenter. The produce was in stock but it didn't look fresh. Their bakery dept was ok, I've seen better. If you have Walmart + it's $.10 off your gas, that I like

I enjoy going to this store because of the convenience. I like how I can grab a few items without having to wait in the long lines. You literally can go in and out within a few minutes. The store is always clean and stocked with the items I need. I also like that I can put gas at the Walmart gas station in front of this store. Then I can jump across the street to wash my car.

Since Thanksgiving 2 of the disabled shopping carts have been none operational. With the reduction in operational cost (self check out) they should at least have carts for the disabled shoppers to use. If you are disable, this is not the store you can depend on to come shop for your items. Go anywhere else!!!
