I always stop by when we go to Houston. But today I noticed that their prices are ridiculous high. This items are donated.

As far as stuff and the lucky finds I buy from there, I would give 10/5 stars if possible. I know goodwill's inventory is based on people's donations, but I wish people themselves would be more mindful on what they donate. Several times I go in and pass by the clothes, I usually would smell a hint of p*ss or something else disgusting. I type this in hopes that other people who would donate clothes and blankets would keep in mind that donations are supposed to be clean and at least not horrid.

Visit goodwill on a weekly basis and I always catch myself leaving with amazing things at a great price! The manager is always so polite and has very great customer service skills. She always makes sure to greet the customers when she is going around the store.

This Goodwill is visable right off the busy highway 77. It's at least 10,000 feet and has six fitting rooms. Like most Goodwill's, it is chocked full of clothes. Usually all the glassware and knickknacks are located on separate aisles, but at this location everything is piled on top of the aisles of clothes. It does have some furnishings and mattresses. There was really nothing in the way of appliances or electronics. Despite its ample size, this location didn't seem to offer much other than a decent clothing selection.

I've been Goodwill hunting* for several years now. There's just something infinitely exciting about looking for peppercorns in a manure heap of used junk. This store caught my eye on a recent road trip to Riviera, TX. Pappy and I had just gorged ourselves on fried seafood at The King's Inn (see my awesome five-star review) and had some time to kill. What better than a Goodwill excursion? Like most charity shops, this Goodwill is messy. Expect to see piles of clothes scattered atop tobacco-stained alarm clocks and George Foreman grills. I'm not being facetious here; I saw these very items as I perused the electronics section. I might sound like I'm complaining, but this is all part of the odd charm of Goodwill. The same holds true for the random boxes of adult diapers I see at *every* Goodwill location I visit. If you're a diaper fetishist, then this Goodwill has you covered. For extra kink, buy a couple of Jimmy Swaggart vinyl records, a rope, a Winnie The Pooh plushie, and some Vaseline. I'm still not being facetious; I spotted these items, too. I go to Goodwill not to gawk (well, maybe to gawk a little) but to visit the media section. On this occasion, I picked up a copy of "The Man with the Golden Arm" starring Frank Sinatra and the complete "Addams Family" TV series on DVD. The latter (a multi-disc box set that retails for $70) was only $1.99, the price of all DVDs and Blu-Rays at this location. That's just insane. I also spotted a "Mission: Impossible" (the Tom Cruise movies) box set on Blu-Ray for that price. "Mission: Impossible" isn't my bag, so I left it behind for a fellow hunter to find. If you need to make a #1 or drop anchor while browsing, I suggest you hold it. Perhaps the previous king of the throne ate too many chili cheeseburgers that day, but I nearly passed out upon entering the men's room. The place needed a good scrubbing and some air freshener, too. I spotted some sort of generic lemon-scented deodorizer on the wall, but it was woefully insufficient. Those things seldom work anyway; I just end up smelling a bouquet (or *poo*quet) of lemon-scented ass. Pro tip: if you think you might need to go, buy the adult diapers immediately upon entering the store and enter the dressing room. My score: The Complete "Addams Family" series on DVD ($1.99) "The Man with the Golden Arm" on DVD ($1.99) A "Winnie the Pooh" VHS tape ($.99) *See what I did there? "Good Will Hunting" is the name of an Oscar-winning movie starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, yet I made a very clever pun about hunting for bargains at a Goodwill. Sometimes my IQ of 158 pays off.

Customer service could use improvement. I asked an employee to look for something for me and was waiting for a while. Marc the employee came out and ignored me and let me stand there waiting for an additional 15 minutes only to tell me later it was not available.

I visit different Goodwill locations all over Texas on a daily basis. I have visited them all over the country. This location was the worst I have ever been to!! Absolutely filthy. Completely disorganized. Smelled so bad even through my mask. If the items they have received smell like urine, it's ok to throw them away, rather than bring that smell into the store!! It was awful. There isn't a designated kitchen section, (which is the whole reason I go), there wasn't a toy section, and I never saw an employee. They have everything on shelves on top of every clothing rack, forcing you to walk through the urine soaked clothes. I waited by the register to pay for 1 book for $1 for more than 5 minutes. The whole time I was looking around and calling out for assistance. No one came. I left a dollar on the counter and left. I will never go back to that location.

This is quite a large store, and I think it’s the only thrift store in Kingsville. The racks seemed pretty organized. They have the rotating colored tags on sale, three colors each week for 25%, 50%, and 75% off. Lighting seems a bit dim inside. Dressing rooms are closed as they’ve been at other Goodwill locations I’ve visited during the pandemic. Not sure when or if they’ll open back up.
