“This is the closest grocery store to my home. A few days ago during the crazy arctic weather event, without power and deep in caffeine withdrawal, I went there hoping for supplies and coffee from the Starbucks inside. Unfortunately Starbucks was closed. I noticed that about half of the lights in the store were out. Apparently, they'd lost power and were not able to sell the food that had been refrigerated or frozen. They also looked understaffed. Still I was able to find fluids and foods that didn't require heat to eat. During my search for supplies and while checking out, it was noticeable how kind and helpful the employees were. I'm sure they probably had their own concerns from our weather impacts. They seemed to understand and were compassionate about the shoppers' plight. My gratitude and respect the the store's staff and leadership for offering what they could during this most difficult time!”
