The service charge was a fraction of anyone else in Kingwood and he got my parts for half what I could find them for. I went in to identify a problem with my cooling system. I was charged $67 for a cooling test. After discovering I needed a new radiator, this business quoted me nearly $1150 to replace a radiator. the typical price to charge for a radiator replacement is around $600. The radiator itself is about $150. While this business has every right to charge what they desire, I'd like the public to know that they are over charging and charging for parts that don't need replacing.
How do I know this? I asked the mechanic the condition of the radiator hoses. He said after wiping them off they appear to look good. He shared this information when I told him I just had the radiator replaced not too long ago and I wanted to investigate why the radiator is already out already. The mechanic printed out a quote before I had him to inspect the radiator components again, which determined based on his answer that he attempted to charge me for parts that didn't need to be replaced. He wanted to charged $150 per hose for a total of $300 when a radiator hose is about $35 or less each. Now imagine the outrageous price he charged for the radiator, labor work, coolant, and and other things! Nevertheless, I got my radiator replaced for less than $550, and my radiator hoses didn't need to be replaced. Make sure you do your research before accepting a quote to ensure businesses like this is not over charging you.

I got “convinced” into replacing my suspension and ball joints. Explained it as “past the recommended mileage”
After everything my wheels still squeak which is what I brought the car in for to be fixed in the first place. They didn’t take the time to test drive the car afterwards and on the way home I noticed scraping and popping noises. I brought the car back to them and they used the wrong bolts apparently. I will not be going back. Hope this helps someone.

Never again ! Got work on one thing and now my AC doesn’t work. Says they never touched up but all of a sudden it’s not working. Took weeks on vehicle and never would call and update on what was going on or issue with car. NEVER AGAIN ! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

Well, first off I am a mechanic myself and if you are a mechanic, you know how hard it is to trust other mechanics I gave these place a call. They gave me a fair quote I came They saw they conquered. As a mechanic. I usually don’t take my vehicle to other mechanics, but this guy has done an magnificent job. I told him that I needed my sensor relearn, which was the crankshaft sensor. He did it less than an hour. Fast service. Got me in and out. The young lady at the desk, Alexia,

Where do I even start!? Sal's Auto Repair has become an intricate part our lives. We have 4 sometimes 5 cars in our family and Sal's services all our mechanical and body shop needs. We consider Sal's Auto Repair to be THE SHOP in Kingwood and the surrounding area. They guarantee their work and provide an almost family like customer service experience. Their pricing is always competitive and truthfully the best pricing in my experience. I used to use several different shops for different things but now, it's all Sal's. Sal's has done so much extra for us as well, like fixed what other shops didn't repair correctly, inspected our vehicle and found the issues quoted from another shop were not even the real issue, even gave us advice on what new suvs NOT to buy.
