Terrible customer service. Showed up 5 minutes after reservation and they said the system shuts down and would rent the truck.

Expected better from this brand. Was not prepared for modification nor change of terms, my bad for not researching better. I am at a total loss of words your imagination will have to suffice.

Not a huge selection of vehicles but normally they have something similar to what you will need. Friendly staff, nothing above or beyond about this location.

Everything went fine through the app they took my money no problem then I showed up and the gentleman with the glasses told me there was going to be an additional $250 credit card charge that was NOT highlighted or blatantly said anywhere during the reservation I told him I had chime and he automatically dismissed me and told me to call HR to cancel while they also neglect to tell you as when you cancel they want to charge you $150 right off the top even if it’s out of your control I was lucky to get the fee waived this one time I will NEVER come back to budget and plan on telling every person I know about this experienceUPDATE: so far they lied about returning the 150$ cancellation fee I’ve been calling for two days trying to get it returned if it doesn’t come through soon I will be contacting the better business bureau this is UNACCEPTABLE a warning to everyone DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

The owner is rude and nasty. Dont even bother coming here. I would do zero stars if they let me.

Wish I could give this zero stars. The people are so rude and do not try to help you or work with you at all. I told them I called the customer service line when no one picked up the phone and they said "well they work overseas they don't even work in America so they're not authorized to promise you anything."

Truck was in terrible working condition. It wouldn't go into drive on a couple of occasions and slipped out of gear.

If you reserve a rental here, be prepared for them to give you a vehicle with expired tags, and that stalls on the freeway. And they refuse to provide me with a new vehicle and are charging me for 1 whole day, when I've had the car for 1 hour.

This review is for the Budget Rental Agency in general, not necessarily the local office. I rented a car out of the Boston-Logan center. I was charged nearly double than the "estimated charges" and when I called I was on hold for over 50 minutes only to be hung up on when the line rang. Then called a different number and got a person who wouldn't help but did give me another number to call. It was the same recording as the first time and I spent another 20 minutes waiting. I'm disputing the charges because they won't answer their phones! Also, I specifically said I would refill the gas tank which I did and have the receipts to prove it. They charged me for gas refill as well as flood and water damage which I was never asked about. Such a scam! Never ever rent from Budget! They should call themselves Rip-off Rental!

I had an extremely unpleasant interaction with the manager at the Kyle, TX location today. My vehicle was stolen from my driveway in the middle of the night on Tuesday. It's been a long couple of days dealing with the police, insurance company, and my banks regarding cards that were in my truck. It's been difficult getting a rental vehicle sooner rather than later and with the contracted rental company, the earliest I am able to get into a vehicle is Sunday the 6th. They let me know that I could rent from another company and be reimbursed. I decided to take that route. I found that I would be able to pick up a rental from Budget in Kyle, TX today. I made my reservation online for a Toyota Tacoma, or similar using my Visa. I arranged a ride from my house to arrive promptly at the Budget Rental location in Kyle, TX at 1:30 PM. When I arrived, I approached the counter and then a gentleman met me there. This was the manager and apparent only staff member on duty. I did not get his name. I let him know I was there to pick up. He asked for my last name. I gave him this. He asked for my Driver's License. I gave him this, along with my Visa debit card that I used to make the reservation online. He let me know that I could not pay with my Visa and that I had to use a major credit card instead. I let him know that I did not have a major credit card on me because it was in the vehicle that was stolen. I then remembered that I had my American Express card (the one that was in my stolen truck) in my Apple Pay, and a photo of it as well. I began to look for access to these on my phone. When I presented the photo, the manager behind the counter said that he had to use a card that he could physically swipe. I let him know that I did not have a credit card he could swipe because it was in my vehicle that was stolen. He then said that he could not help me - that if I didn't have a credit card that he could swipe, he would not be able to rent anything out to me. I was furious. I was just dropped off an hour away from home after making an online reservation with my Visa and now this Budget Rental Manager is telling me he can't do anything about it. I left the building, quickly called the 800 number for Budget Customer Service and explained the situation to them. They let me know that I could rent a vehicle with my Visa debit card as long as it wasn't the truck I made the reservation for. The gentleman over the phone made me another reservation for a standard size car instead of a truck. Before I hung up the phone, I made sure that I had a clear understanding - that as long as I rented this standard size car, I would be able to pay with my Visa. They assured me of this. The information that the Customer Service representative disclosed to me over the phone was NOT disclosed to me by the manager at Budget. He told me that he could not rent anything to me unless I had a major credit that he could physically swipe. I then went back into the building and let the manager know that I had a new reservation for a standard size car and that the Customer Service Rep over the phone assured me that I could use my Visa to pay for it. He concurred and followed with, "as long as you have a physical document like an electric bill that has your residential address that matches the address on your Driver's License." The way he delivered this information was so very, unnecessarily condescending. I let him know that I did not have a physical document with me. He then, again, refused to rent to me. This man's unwillingness to work with me was infuriating. At this point, without already knowing he was the MOD, I asked to speak with his manager. He said was the manager and said, "See, it says it there on my business card." Yet another condescending response from a person who clearly does not care. I then asked to speak with his boss. He then pulled out his personal cell phone and called his boss, Jodi. He relayed the situation to her and then handed the phone to me. I went over my situation with her over

I wish I could rate this company 0 stars. Read your contact carefully and you won't be as surprised by the multitude of hidden fees. Be prepared to shell out a couple hundred extra dollars, and whatever you do, DO NOT sign up for the coverage packages. I hope someone reads this and it prevents them from getting scammed.
