Despite the size of the community, the selection has always been poor. Today I went in for bird food and a toy or two. They had once choice for small parrot food (like fruit loops that aren't quite healthy) and like maybe a dozen toys, mostly for small birds. Like parakeet small. Even before the vet office took up space, their choices have been limited.

To give a quick back story: we initially ordered our dogs food on Amazon, and it got delayed, but we couldn't wait. We had given our pup the last of her food last night. I went in the Petco app to order food for one year old Labradoodle, and I wasn't able to order "until they opened." I placed the order right at 9am, and because I work from home, my husband agreed to go pick up the food. I told him the back story so that he would know that we just placed the order, and they may need some time to go grab it. Apparently, my husband was met with a VERY annoyed employee stating, "You should wait at least an hour before picking up an online order." *This conversation occurred in the back of the store because my husband KNEW we had done this last second and figured he would go grab the food himself because of the inconvenience. The employee actually already had the food on the cart. While I understand it's not something you want to be doing first thing in the morning- this is your JOB. Both my husband and I have worked in the customer service world our whole lives- you just don't do that. But thanks for the food Petco! At least our puppy can eat this morning!

We come in every 2 weeks to get our dog food & always have a great experience. However, there is an employee that stands out above the rest! His name is Yacuba or Cuba & he has AMAZING customer service & attitude when dealing with customers! Petco in Kyle, Texas you really have great employees! ** Kim, Tim & Harley the grouchy Pomeranian**

Jenn at the groomer took care of my little dog today. My dog had an injury a long time ago, which makes me feel extra protective of her little body. Jenn was attentive, speedy, careful with the location of her injury. She got one of her teammates to calm my dog while they worked diligently. Equally important Jenn did NOT make me feel like I was being extra by being an over protective dog mom. She was authentic and would give me time updates even though I wasn't in a hurry, but it was youthful. Her teammate walked out and complimented Jenn too (it's great when you draw compliments from your coworkers, says a lot about Jenn as a person). Her work was perfect, my dog looks great. Jenn made a billing error, and got her manager to correct it. She called it out herself, and saved us $$. Wow, what an amazing human Petco got lucky with! Integrity, kindness, skilled My little one and I left very happy thanks to Jenn and the entire experience we had with her. Sidenote...I hate pet stores and anyone who thinks it's okay to cage birds, ferrets, snakes, or to cage anything, specially for profit. I saw beautiful animals there in small cages, who I imagine don't get to feel the warmth of the sun with the same freedom we do.

Well again these people are arrogant and too young to be in their jobs! When a customer is willing to spend 1k dollars in the store and the manager is rude that's bad. I wish just once I could find someone in the corporate structure older than 13. Well I mean acting older than 13!! It gets old people.

This review is for the Vet experience. Yesterday I took my pup in for some issues I was worried about. I was iffy about going to a new location but I'm glad I chose this one. I was greeted by Shelby who was the vet tech and she was very nice, thorough and helpful with the entire experience. She made me feel comfortable so I knew my pup would be safe when she took him back. Shelby had great alternate suggestions if I was concerned with the costs of things so that was helpful! Dr. Causey was so easy to talk to!! She explained to me what was going on and that it was of no concern. She had great recommendations and told me I could always just come back if I continued to have issues which made the experience great considering it was our first time there.

I've taken my dog here for grooming before, and this time I got a text as soon as I got home from dropping him off that said he's very scared, and won't let them groom him. Come to find out it's because they clipped one of his nails way too short, and he's bleeding from his paw. So not only did they not get the job done, I have an injured puppy at home who is bleeding. I wouldn't take my dog back here in a million years.

I see most reviews on here are for the grooming shop, which I have never had experience with, but I have had a wonderful experience in this store each time I've been. I have a young toddler and I have been in a few times to let him learn about and see animals (they have lizards, snakes, spiders, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, turtles and more). Each time I have been in, the employees are soooo welcoming and knowledgeable about the animals. They have always taken them out to let my son, and other children in the store, pet and explore them. I have never been in a pet store where the employees go out of their way to show and teach kids about the animals they have there. This last time, an employee named Scott was so nice and letting about 5 kids interact with a ferret. I noticed he was also helping a teenage girl wanting to buy a hamster and was very patient and informative. I will definitely be back to this store to buy all my cats needs :)

Hannah did the absolute most godawful hack job grooming on my Yorkie. Hannah never introduced herself, as it was our first experience at petco for grooming- she was not friendly and doesn't seem to care about dogs, customer service, or special requests. I asked my dog be cut and not shaved as she has silky straight long coat. I got a phone call 50 minutes later to pick her up. That's suspiciously way to soon. Hannah did not show her to me before paying. Poor practice, again. Upon paying I was charged an extra $7 for a shaving that I asked her not to do, then an additional $5 for material fee?! My dog does not smell clean and she has almost no hair left! Not to mention choppy and uneven. I asked for a teddy bear head shape, and she has a blunt shaved choppy face. Absolutely embarrassing. I found it hard to believe Hannah is a licensed groomer.We will not be returning for any reason.

They cut my dog hair verry verryyyy bad , my dog it's a Pomeranian with a nice hair trying to cut alittle bit and they give us our dog with no hair!! Verryyy bad job Im so mad !!!

Manager John gave above and beyond customer service to set us up with a dog stroller 3 days before the Buda Wiener Dog Races. We ordered online for pickup in Kyle. During the night, online cancelled the order and refunded because the Kyle store was actually sold out. .Owner John accepted my call before the store opened. He understood our need and with just a few minutes he contacted the manager of another location who lives in Kyle. He arranged for her to hand deliver the stroller for us when she got off work. John made sure we would only pay the great price of the order that got cancelled. When we came in, it was as if the employees were expecting us. We were in and out of the store in minutes. Now, our RyeLee will be riding in style on the day of his first race. Race #13. Blue lane.

online scheduling, friendly staff, our senior dogs love it there, bath, cut, teeth, nails, all of it done in three hours and cocker spsniel thick curly fur is tough but they have the right tools the right clippers to do the job correctly and our dogs look famtastic! and smell lovely and their coat is shiny and silky, very healthy! thank you for great attention to detail and gentle care ! Dulce was great! we appreciate you and the helpful staff there, even the cashier was nice and attentive, knowlwdgeable and efficient. thank you! definitely coming back!

No one at the register as a line was forming mid-morning. Looked as if a woman went to find someone, though she just looked at the line and kept walking, no communication verbal or non-verbal. Kept waiting and no one showed. Taking my business elsewhere. A total waste of time.

False advertising to get you in the store. On 4 separate occasions I ask for the 'walk-in' service to get my dogs nails trimmed - amazingly they have yet to perform this service. Take it off your website and stop lying to customers about walk in grooming services. Each time the story was the same: we are short staffed today and can't fit it in. If you don't offer walk in services then stop effing advertising that you do!!!!!
