Rocking Horse has been incredible over the past year. Our daughter loves all of her teachers and has easily made friends. The structure they provide will help transition her to elementary school next year. The turnover rate seems low and the ladies that work here seem genuinely happy to show up everyday.
That said, yes, the wait list is long, and it costs a little more than other places, but it is absolutely worth it. To be clear, they were very, VERY, transparent about the long wait and the fact that they couldn't guarantee a start date when we toured.
Hope this helps.

This place is an absolute SCAM!!!!!!!!!
Moved here over 1.5 years ago and put our names on the waitlist. Gave them our money after a very nice and promising tour. Was told the wait would likely be 5-8 months but held out hope I would get a call sooner, or at all…..
Was also told to call “anytime” for an update, with a big, friendly smile….. it’s been anything but!!!!
So 1.5 years later —- this school still has my reservation fee for 2 toddlers. I used to call back in the day to check the waitlist and was consistently met with “I’ll have to call you back” or just very unfriendly/unhelpful staff. I stopped calling and have since started at a different daycare where the communication and care for the children is AMAZING.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this place would be a stickler but I’ve spoken to several moms in my neighborhood who have told me “rocking horse just takes your money and never calls you!!!” not one, not two, not three but 6 moms!!!!!
Go elsewhere!! I’ve never heard from rocking horse ONCE and think they’re being outshined by other amazing schools coming into town that are far more available with newer facilities and amazing staff WHO CALLS YOU!!!!!
To the owner here, if you see this and you have any business acumen at all, you’ll refund my money and call it a day. Shame on you. You’ve never called me ONCE!!!!!!!

My daughter just started going to after school care here. This place is an answered prayer. My daughter was new and needed after school care. This place is very accommodating and I feel safe knowing they are taking care of my daughter after school!

My son has been here for a month and it is a huge change from the last daycare. He is learning way faster and he enjoys school. Highly recommended!

A month ago Percy W. Wrote exactly what I'm going to touch base on. I've been on this waitlist for a year and 3 months. They told me I was 3rd after following up 3 months after. I put a deposit and everything. I still get $0 balance invoices. I'm pretty sure they are scamming people. Taking payments that are non refundable and never returning calls. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DEPOSIT UNLESS YOUR KID IS FOR SURE IN.

Whew, this may be a long one. I really wanted to put my newborn in this program because of their good reputation and the fact that I just live a block away and would love to have my new son so close. I should share that this is my first child so I’m very new to the entire process. I visited the facility and spoke with them about the time frame that a would need to begin child care. I was told that that time frame looked feasible for getting my child in. So I put in the application fee and was told they would be contacting me with specific start dates. I figured at the very least the start would be around the time frame that I communicated……..However, I never received a call.I began calling regularly to find out if I could get a firm start date. Each time I was told to call back next month and they would definitely be able to tell me. I continued this process all the way up until a few weeks before I needed to go back to work. Finally someone told me something “firm”. They told me it would still be another 6-9 months before my son could start. 6-9 months on top of the 4 months I had already been waiting! I was very clear on my needed timeframe and definitely would not have applied if I had known it wasn’t feasible. Mind you, again, I was told in no uncertain terms that my time frame was feasible prior to submitting the application fee. Now they won’t refund me and I have to begin my search again for child care in the meantime and am in a bit of a desperate situation.

We toured the facility in July and were told the wait was up to 3 months, that current teachers had their kids there and that they had priority on the waitlist (understandable). However, they would all be moving up soon and therefore there would be openings in all the classes. We submitted a non-refundable waitlist fee of $150 (for 2 kids) on July 9th because we would be moving to Kyle in Jan. Since they never followed up I emailed them on December 8th and was told my younger child was 3rd on the list. I followed up again on Jan 12th and was told that he was now at the top of the list. I called twice in February and once again 2 weeks ago. We had to put the kids in other daycares. I called today and was told that the waitlist is longer than what I was quoted and there were people that have been on the list for 2 years. Overall not a good experience, the building is dated, and the yard is dry and bleak. The (residential) front doors can hardly be considered secure. When you enter the first thing you see is a glass wall with sun beat baby toys. If you want a daycare that will follow up and update you on the waitlist, or even return phone calls, just know it is not their policy to do so unless you are at the point of enrollment.

This review is long overdue. We have been with Rocking Horse Academy for over 6 years now and couldn't have found a better place to send our kids to. Throughout the years there has been a lot of change around us, however Mrs. Rebecca and Miss Marissa have always been the same. They have such a great staff and are always willing to go the extra mile when it comes to making you feel at ease. Of course there are always challenges with growing kids and new teachers, but I've always been able to voice my concerns with the Administration and feel like action is always taken with the children's best interest at heart.Even through COVID this place remained in constant contact with us and helped us get through all the challenges of not having immediate care. Thankfully, they were so strict with protocols that the school was only closed once! To say that we have made life long friends here is an understatement! We truly are grateful for Rocking Horse!

The building is nice and well kept, cleanliness I would say was okay.Teachers were great and kindI’m very disappointed in the owner and director Which are mother and daughter. They chose to keep a child who was mentally different with the other children. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem but let me explain what this child would do…. This child would have random blackouts and start hurting any child/ children and teachers around them . They kept this child for years which put not just strain on the his victims parents, but of course the teachers who tried so hard to keep children safe but couldn’t predict this child’s episodes. They could use better judgment and put their teachers first . Once they realize it would be a better place to work. They need to learn to make decisions on keeping the teachers and families happy with a ease of mind,Not worry about losing a child paying full tuition When the child hurts other children and teachers daily

My little one has been at RHA for 10 months now. We have nothing but great things to say about the faculty and staff! They don't like you to call their facility a daycare, it's a school. Which is absolutely true, even for the babies! They helped our little girl learn how to feed herself, a bunch of sign language, songs, and have really helped with her social skills. She went in mid pandemic and they have handled this new crazy world so well.
