People are nice and friendly when I interfaced with them. My only complaints are bad hours, when you teach its hard to get there by 5pm, and no mobile deposit. All banks I've had in the past had mobile deposit for checks so their system is ancient and not up to date.

The staff are friendly and helpful. I always get a Hello on the way in and have a good day on the way out. Interest rates are decent, better than what I had before. I normally bank at the Lake Jackson location.

Years ago I had my card stolen and First State Bank refused to refund the overdraft fees. Immediately closed my account with them after they pulled that. Was absolutely appalled when they did that. Would recommend just carrying your cash around instead, because it's not like they'll help you if it gets stolen anyways

Really bad customer service the tellers are rude! This is the second time I’ve come to this location and the tellers have absolutely terrible customer service. You hear her chatting up one customer about future plans and exchanging I love you’s but she couldn’t even say hello I’ll have this right out or anything like they typically do. I know I come later in the evening but it stinks to be made to feel so unwanted or like you’re a bother

Someone stole my debit card number and made fraudulent charges. Okay, stuff happens. Then the bank told me I had to take care of it myself. As in, call all the companies and have them reverse the charges. Um, shouldn't the bank help me with this sort of stuff? Never dealing with this place again.
