I ordered Redfish Pontchartrain sauce was flavorless, rice taste weird and over cooked. Vegetables salty. One saving grace is the fish cooked

Just an amazing cajun experience from the music to the food to the decor! The Swamp Shack has it going on! If you crave some southern Louisiana this is the place without the drive. We ordered the charbroiled oysters for an app and there were very good! They could have been cooked a little longer for my personal taste, but they were good. The burger was outstanding. The fried catfish and shrimp were perfect. Our mixed drinks were excellent, we got the Poloma and Sex With an Alligator, needless to say there was no pain felt when we were leaving. The service was amazing and friendly. Just a great place to stop, eat, enjoy some drinks and hang out at the bar.Dietary restrictions: If you are eating here, your dietary restrictions may not matter, but there is a lot on the menu and these nice folks can help out if there is something you don't want or need to have on your plateParking: plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: very kid friendly and tame even for serving drinksWheelchair accessibility: easy single story access

I would give one star, but giving two stars only because the wait staff was so nice. We had seen on Facebook that the Swamp Shack had a buffet spread on Sundays and thought we'd give it a try. It was not a "spread". Just a bunch of fried food, soup and shrimp. The $2 mimosas were pretty decent and that's about it. Most everything on their buffet was over-cooked and dry. You couldn't even tell what one dish was from the next. We paid $23 each for a few bites of food. Maybe their regular menu items are better, but we will never know. Avoid the buffet, unless you are looking to just eat a bunch of bland fried food. The cobbler was served in a paper dish and tasted like cardboard. Was so disappointing. We really wanted to like this place, but it just wasn't worth what we paid. It looks cute enough, but just kind of meh. Some TVs with random sports on, no music. Bright walls and tributes to our military, which was nice, but we left less than satisfied.

They have the best oysters on the half shell I've eaten in Lake Jackson to date. The Texas-Tini drink is a slightly spicy martini that is out of this world! The Sunday brunch buffet is also pretty good. I would recommend you try this place some time!!

The Cajun egg rolls were delicious!! We ate 2 orders! Had the crawfish po'boy. It was ok. Batter was made with cornmeal and had a different taste. The Cajun mac and cheese was to die for! Margaritas were great! Service was great! Definitely will be going back there!

I don't like swamp shack. It's gross. Don't know why they put one here. I got food poisoning one time from the grilled oysters.
