There is a very unprofessional and mean supervisor named Nick who works there. I visited on 10/27/24. He is a tall, skinny Caucasian male with a brown hair and a beard. He has anger issues and very poor customer service. There was an error with a discount for one of the coupons and when I brought it to his attention he went crazy and screamed at me “DO NOT TALK!” like I was a 5-year-old child when I was trying to explain the total on the receipt. I was calm and respectful the entire time. He rudely interrupted me 7 to 8 times. Then, he randomly took $3 out of the cash register and when HE made a mistake, rolled his eyes and said really loud “HERE’S YOUR $3!! GOOD LORD!!” In the rudest, condescending tone. He is unfit to work in customer service and he can't control his temper or handle his emotions.

If it was possible, I would give a negative rating for the Big Lots store in Lake Worth. On May 30th, I went into the store to return things that didn't not work out of forgot to use. For whatever reason the stores system, would not recognize my receipt (physical/online) or my account #. The store wanted to return it without receipt, but wanted my personal information. I prefer not to give my information, especially bc I have my receipt. The young lady calls the manager - Valarie for assistance and she can't get the system to work either. She tells me that I can call or come back tomorrow. I ask her can she call someone and informs me that she is the mgr on duty and she is it. I said that I have my receipt and I do not like giving out my identification if I have my receipt and she actually told me I don’t know what you want me to do. I asked to call her mgr and she said he was not available. She told me that I could call customer svc and she would not call them. Later Valarie would inform IT that she did not speak to customer svc, but only me. She never would speak to them; however, customer svc spoke with cashier and gave her instructions. She was nice enough to give me the number. I did call customer svc asked to be speak to the cashier and informed the young lady that it was the stores fault and they needed to contact the it dept. I was in the store for over 2 hrs and got nothing done. Valarie was rude, unprofessional and very unfriendly. She told me that I was giving her grief and the item didn't come from that store. I informed Valarie what does that matter, Big Lots is all one store. In addition, she told that i am just mad bc i do want the refund the way she can it to me. At this point, i am getting frustrated. I spent my funds in this establishment and is being treated like a thief. In addition, i have spent quite of change in Big Lots and i can't receive courtesy. Also, you and I are having issues bc you the way you have treated me. I asked customer svc to elevate this issue and I was told that I would here from the district mgr. within two business days. Today is June 10, 2024 and I have yet to here from anyone. Highly disappointed.

Man, I wish I had been shopping at this store sooner. They have a huge selection of almost everything. We got in on the 20% off friends and family sale, so we picked up a couch and love seat and got a huge discount. We picked up a ton of other things for the house while there.We have even been back a 2nd time to buy more stuff.If you haven't checked this store out, don't hesitate to give it a look and I'm sure you will find something you want.
