They do not do branch sharing... meaning if you are with a another credit union, they won't assist you (a typical feature of all credit unions in the US)

I didn't access their branch, but this is just a heads up from working with another that to engage with them you practically have to be in their office, and trying to engage outside of that is like pulling teeth. They introduce an array of ways to inconvenience you at a moments notice and rely on you to provide them information about the loan you signed with them. Unprofessional and very unattractive practices.

Worst bank ever!! Literally they do nothing right. One time they lost my entire paycheck, most recently they issued me a new debit card that they forgot to put in the system and now I have no way to access my funds without going to an open branch location. Literally the worst!! Do not bank here!

It's terrible customer service - long hold times, inflexible staff, at the 183/290 branch the manager is downright rude to clients and staff. It's so bad it borders on comical.

Terrible bank branch of Austin Telco. Their sign and website say they close at 1pm on Saturdays, and the last few times I’ve tried going they are closed an hour early. Honestly really pisses me off. Always has terrible customer service and makes me inclined to not to ever return. I will be contacting a higher up and complaining because there is absolutely no reason to be this unprofessional and unproductive.

The hours are completely wrong for not staying open on Saturdays it's a complete lie. With the amount of customers their should be someone there for people who can't make it during week hours.

The worst bank. They hold your checks forever. When I first set up the account they put 10-15 day hold on a new (payroll-not hand written)check. I thought that was a long time but it was a new account. I set up direct deposit with my employer and they still put holds on, after months and having the same pay roll being put in. When asked why- they answer is "that's just what we do" I have had several direct deposit payroll checks that they put holds on. So ridiculous

This institution and this branch are terrible. Poor customer service and they are unable to handle the simplest of transactions. And if you have a business account they are even worse. I strongly recommend avoiding Austin Telco.

Most of the employees there do care for my needs and be very patient to help. Thanks for a great service every time over 10 years banking with you.

LONG holds on deposits! Assistant branch manager Victoria unresponsive. Exceedingly poor level of customer service.

LONG holds on deposits! Before opening my account at Austin Tel Co, I confirmed with management that there wouldn't be holds placed on any of my deposits. The assistant manager at the Shoal Creek location said she noted this on my account. After being a member for 3+ years, with no issues and multiple loans paid off, the assistant branch manager at their Lakeway location placed an exceptionally long hold on a deposit. Due to the amount of the deposit, I felt it was reasonable to hold for a couple days to make sure that it cleared. Well after the check cleared the other account, I sent the branch manager at Lakeway copies of the cleared check and a statement showing it cleared. Well, the branch manager didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my emails or remove the hold. So I called the main branch and explained to them how I emailed proof that the check had cleared. They still insisted on another 7 days hold! Why? Stay clear of Austin Tel Co. I am moving my account to University Federal Credit Union which has lower loan rates posted online and a much better YELP rating!
