If you’re a woman DO NOT GO TO BSW LAKEWAY. If you’re a woman with a disease not understood by most and rarely believed by doctors to be true, DO NOT GO TO BSW LAKEWAY. If you’re a woman with chronic endometriosis pain and chronic hypertension, DO NOT GO TO BSW LAKEWAY. Literally—drive to BSW Temple or ANYWHERE ELSE other than BSW Lakeway. If you want to experience discrimination simply because you’re a Latina woman with high blood pressure and want to have a blood pressure cuff on to monitor your pressure…DO NOT GO TO BSW LAKEWAY. If you want to be treated like a dog by several medical “professionals,” or a nurse that doesn’t know how to say or read (this is all a true story!) any of your very common prescriptions, feel free to head on down to the biggest CLOWN SHOW in town. Save yourself the trip, time, frustration, the even higher blood pressure than you already had when you walked in. Your pain and blood pressure are most certainly going to get worse at BSW Lakeway and not taken seriously. How do I know this? Because it happened to me last week—ask my husband. He was there. It’s one of those places where a “man’s opinion is valued more” than a woman’s. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND TURN YOUR CAR AROUND.

Spend 5 days at their maternity ward and I was the most pampered mama in the whole world. Dr Noreikaite and Dr Barbara were excellent always attentive to my needs. They did all in their power for me to have a nice labor and walk me through every step of the way, kept me and my husband well informed about my progress and all. The nurses are more than great. Huge thank you to all of them for taking care of us, because they didn’t only care about me as a patient but also my baby and husband. Made sure all our needs were met and keep a close eye of dads wellbeing too. Love the fact they let you keep the baby with you at all times and yet if needed they take them for a bit if you need a rest. That gave me peace of mind. Don’t hesitate to use their services for maternity care

Staff is friendly amd the atmosphere is surprisingly bright. They have a quaint little cafeteria with 2 entree options per day and a nice salad bar.

I find it ridiculous how we’ve have to sit and listen to the nurses disrespect and gossip about our family member as if they didn’t just get stage 2 cancer cut out of them. He’s been in the icu for almost a month and even when he’s alone he tells us that some of his nurses are talking about him like he’s not in the room, assuming he can’t hear or understand. We had to especially ask for a certain nurse to be taken off his rotation because of her behavior- yet she kept coming into the room to help other nurses , still not caring to have any tact or compassion.A nurse wearing NO mask tried to make her patient feel bad for coughing from congestion in his chest (something he can’t control) - scolding him saying him he’d get her sick. What are you doing around potentially sick patients without a proper mask anyway? And blaming them for it?He is now afraid to call the nurses for help but is also in extreme pain. Unacceptable.I hope I don’t have to get transported to this location something ever happens. It’s clearly not up to par with a hospital should work.

I am a retired Fire Captain of 30 plus years. Also was a transporting medic for 7 of those years. Never in my life have I been to an ER and seen someone come in with an injury or illness and not be touched by a triage nurse for over an hour. My son who suffered a shoulder injury was admittedly a minor trauma. But to sit in an empty waiting room, with no ambulance traffic for over an hour is borderline negligent. After looking at the comments this is not an isolated case. If you do not have any other option due to severity go somewhere else. Truly a bummer since I had an outpatient surgery there that was a great experience. I went to another emergency room nearby and was seen in 10 minutes with X Ray's in 15 minutes. Whole thing took a half hour.

The facility was clean and convenient. The staff was super friendly. Anesthesia and doctor Cohen were great. I came for a colonoscopy and everything went as planned. I would definitely come back here.

I haven't been a patient, I just work here, but out of all of the hospitals I've been in (working and as a patient), this is the most beautiful and has the nicest people, from the wonderful volunteers, hard-working nurses, and my lovely coworkers. It has a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere in the lobby, which I hope helps soothe the people who enter. There's lovely outside seating areas by the cafeteria and near the surgery entrance, which is great for fresh air among nature. The views of the beautiful hills are breathtaking.

My partner had a surgical procedure on Friday...What a great experience!I would give 10,000 ⭐s if I could! Special kudos to his nurses: 1] (pre-op nurse) "Kimi" from Memphis, whose sweet southern kindness & compassionate care were STELLAR! (She was definitely a gift from Heaven & exactly what he needed to ease his nervousness and keep him relaxed, chatting about Tops BBQ, Memphis State, and Christian Brothers University); and 2] (post-op nurse) "Sherry" from Iran, whose calm voice and exacting instructions were so relieving & helpful, readying us to return home and understand exactly what to do after discharge.And... the biggest ST⭐R during this urgent time, neurosurgeon, Dr. James Waldron! His expertise is unparalleled and he is YOUR man if you need an expert in spinal injuries and dysfunction.THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING! ⭐⭐⭐

If there was lower f-ing rating, I would do it in a heartbeat. I swear on my own life, this was the worst experience we had (06/23). My wife had taken my 6yr old and he needed to be seen. They took him in for triage and proceeded with the visit. My wife and son were there for less than an hour and doctor concluded the visit with just a simple "oh he must have some sort of virus." And when my wife requested to get him tested just to confirm what was going on, the doctor only wanted to do a swab in my child's nose and send them home and go on about their day. It felt like the nurses and doctor were in a hurry to discharged my son, it felt like our ER visit was not prioritized. Meanwhile, I, the husband and father who left work to be with my family, arrive at the ER lobby. I say that I am there to see my son as he was just admitted recently. The receptionist radios the nurses that the father has arrived and needs to be escorted back to the ER room. I said no problem. Figured it was going to be 2 minutes. Nope. About 11 minutes later and still no nurse or communication from neither the receptionist or nurses!! The sense of urgency was absolutely not there!! Holy crap it was ridiculous and pathetic especially the receptionist. I had asked for the room number and she had the nerve to even tell me that my family was going to be discharged in a couple minutes and I would be able to see them then! Are you f-ing kidding me?! And on top of that she asked if I was only dropping something off for my family. I immediately responded in the nicest yet firmest way ," No. I am here to be with my son.". She nervously chuckled and proceeded to make another attempt to reach the nurses. NO SENSE OF URGENCY AND OBVIOUSLY NO F*CKS GIVEN. HERE IS YOUR F-ING REVIEW.

My mom went here after fracturing her vertebrae. They took completely off her anxiety medication cause of her low sodium levels without any attempt to find an alternative. A week later my mom almost died because of a panic attack that landed her overnight in another ER. The cardiac surgeon put her back on all her anxiety medications and increased the dosage, he said her attack was severe to the point her heart swelled. I could of lost my mother because they were too lazy to find an alternative. If it can be avoided, go to a different hospital in the area.

I will never use Baylor Scott and White for my health ever again and I encourage you all to do the same. I would give zero stars if I could. Dr. Mendelow is the rudest, most insensitive, unprofessional medical professional I have ever seen. She has no business in this profession. She took no interest in my concerns or feelings, provided me with almost no information whatsoever, answered virtually none of my questions and at the end of my visit simply said, "Why don't you go get a second opinion that way you'll believe us," and got up and walked out. I left with more questions than answers. She addressed me insultingly and condescendingly throughout. I waited outside my room for a sheet of paper with the information I had requested, and no one brought anything to me. Mendelow's only interest seemed to be in getting me scheduled for another appointment. She perceived me asking questions as combativeness. I am utterly stunned a person in the medical profession would ever act in this manner. It took months to get appointments scheduled and at the end of the visit I went to the front desk and asked for my money back. I will never use Baylor Scott and White for my healthcare ever again and I encourage you all to find a business that actually cares about its patients and addresses their concerns. What happened here was unconscionable.

I had a total shoulder replacement surgery in 2017 where the Dr. (Dr. Donovan Kip Murphy from Round Rock Baylor Scott and White damaged my phrenic nerve which left my lung unable to function. They sent me to another surgeon, Dr. Shah in Temple Baylor Scott and White. I have reviewed this hospital before, but I just wanted to update the response I just received from them. I did not seek them out, they contacted me after my initial post on YELP. They reached out to me and have been calling and writing me letters since December:This is the outcome of months of hope. I really thought they were going to right a wrong and a vindication would be within reach:They are saying:"Your chose to have the surgery, foregoing the option of waiting one year to allow for healing. The surgeon discussed the nature of and indications for surgery, along with the alternative treatments and associated risks AND you ultimately had the right thoracotomy with a right hemidiaphragm on July 14h 2017. "Well, I was NOT given ANY alternative treatment options, and I was told of associated risks and that is why the surgeon kept suggesting doing the surgery the following Monday after we met. He did NOT tell me of the surgery that could save my phrenic nerve!!! Dr Matthew Kauffman of the Clevland clinic has been doing a surgery that has been successfully restoring the phrenic nerve and I contacted him, but because of the surgery Dr Shah did, I was not a candidate. He could have helped me if I had of known before!!! I did contact him after I he did surgery on me and I found Dr. Matthew Kauffman who has restored thousands of phrenic nerves and restored lungs back, but when I called Dr. Shahs office, he wouldn't speak to me, and his assistant Emily Roskos said to me, "we are not required to tell you that." Well, that says a lot about putting the patient first and foremost, even if it isn't a procedure you do, at least tell the patient and give them the right to chose for themselves! But I was not given the option. Nor was I told about that procedure, I found it in my own, Dr. Shah did NOT tell me of alternative treatments, and he said to me and my husband, as he shrugged his shoulders, and put his hands up saying, "well I guess you can wait a year, but I cannot guarantee after that year any change. But you can try." Those where his words to us! Here I was, not able to walk down a short hallway, out of breath, struggling for every breath I took! And I was in a panic. He insinuated that my options were to do the surgery and he made that VERY clear to us both and that is the ONLY reason we made that decision that day. We were leaning on his expertise and his advise and HE led us to making the worse decision I have ever made in my life. So I am so disgusted and disillusioned regarding Baylor Scott and White contacting me through this format and why they would and what the purpose was? Only to give me a false hope? Well, it was cruel. They have been contacting me since January with letters telling me that my case is in review only to receive this letter telling me that the doctors did all the right things and I made the wrong choice? They said nothing about Dr. Murphys mistake initially that caused it in the first place, where he insisted on doing a nerve block which I did not want. He said that is the only way he would do the surgery and he PROMISED me that it would be ok, and the nerve block would be guided by ultrasound and it would be safe. Well, we know how that turned out. And nothing was done about that at all! The attorneys told me "well, he is very sorry." Well, so am I that I had trust in this hospital and its doctors and this is what I have to live my life like now. Baylor Scott and White Hosptial, you have been cruel to put me through this again, reliving the pain and memories of all I have been through. I feel as if I just got out of the hospital all over again and that pain and depression is real and back! It took me years to get over that, now because YOU contacted me, I am reliving it all over again

If there was 10 stars, I'd give it. My wife Justine and I had the pleasure of sharing our child birth experience of our 2nd child, 1st daughter, Avayah. Notable stand outs were Halie, Kim, Kat and Danielle. They made us feel special in this unforgettable moment and will go down in our memories. I wish we would've had a picture! lol They were genuine, helped my wife through the stressful moments, and had memorable personalities and couldn't have made the process any smoother. I hope every new mother has the pleasure of having them by their side. They truly take pride in their craft. Thank everyone so much for the care you gave my wife and all the hard work you gals put in. If there is a raise to be given, Scott and White give it to them lol. On a serious note, thank you guys so much. Ya'll rock! - The Soriano Family.
