I'm extremely disappointed with this veterinary clinic. After 5 years as a loyal customer, they refused to sell me my dog’s routine heart worm medicine without an appointment, and then told me no appointments were available. They even sent me an email letting me know it was time for the annual check up and included a booking link that, wait for it….didn't work. They basically told me indirectly they no longer wanted my business and weren't interested in treating my dog anymore. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of regard for loyal customers and pet care.I would look elsewhere for reliable pet care.

WARNING WARNING!!! YOU HAVE CHOICES..This place is aweful !!!I brought my dog that had white gums and can barely move . They kept him all night the next morning they told me to come get him.. they told me he was fine.. when I picked him up and I paid $550 I took him out to my car his gums were still white and he still couldn't walk.. he had poop all over the back of his legs and catheters still left in his arm ..I had to go back into the clinic to have them remove the catheters .. they were very rude about doing it ..I immediately took him to my vet who called another emergency vet they diagnosed him in 30 minutes with a bursted tumor and heart failure.. the vet that that diagnosed him asked me why he even ever left Lakeway Vet Hospita..l he should have been put down there ..I have left several reviews about this and they keep disappearing ..my dog was 8 years old his name was Oliver in the last years of his life were at Lakeway vet where he sat in a box with poop all over himself .and then I asked for a refund and they wouldn't give me one.. The vet that diagnosed my dog told me my dog needed to be put to sleep immediately.. I took him back to my vet and they put him down. This went on from 7:30 in the morning when I picked up my dog from Lakeway vet till noon when I finally put my dog down.. that was the last hours of his life.. I am traumatized by these people I have bad dreams because of what my dog went through before he died.. if you had a good experience here it's because you were fortunate One That Got Away.. I've been dealing with vets for 30 years and this is the worst experience I've ever had please seek other vet care for your animals.

Disappointed to here you will be ending after hour and emergency care. Every other ER vet I'm gone to has just been a disaster and I wish you would just raise your prices because I know at least what I'm getting is worth it rather then going to some other ER or animal hospital

I am extremely sadden to hear that you will no longer be offering emergency and hospital hours. I love this place I've taken my pet here so many times in the middle of the night and I have no clue where I'll go and be treated the way I was here. Every other emergency vet I've been to is a chaotic mess that's poorly managed and cost a absurd amount to just be told to go home. Truly devated and no clue what I'll do.

I’ve had to bring my cat here for a couple emergencies and even regular appointments and the staff and doctors that have seen him have always been WONDERFUL. They spoil my cat when he’s there with lots of love, and give him (and me) the best care. I trust them implicitly with my cat’s health.

Well, who enjoys their dog playing chicken with pickup trucks on 620? At least this placehas emergency after hours for your pet's who like to sneak out..oh, and mine lived. Only $1k later. All in all, this place does miracles.

I had a fantastic experience at Lakeway Veterinary Clinic! Setting up the appointment was a breeze, and the check-in process was smooth. The staff was incredibly friendly and their genuine love for animals was evident. My pup was overjoyed during the visit, making it clear that they create a welcoming and happy environment. Highly recommend this clinic for all pet owners!

These guys care more about getting paid than about caring for your pet. Yes it’s a business but they won’t even see your pet if you have the smallest balance on your account. Money first, health of your pet second. Also there is a 100% late fee if you are more than 10 minutes late which they don’t tell you about ahead of time. If you love your sanity (and your pet), go elsewhere.

Dr. Brije Smith and staff were so helpful when my almost 8yr boxer developed pericardial effusion. And I can't speak enough to how kind and compassionate they were when he ended up passing. This was at around midnight, and they were the only ER clinic accepting patients. They gave me more love and understanding than most clinics/vets that I've ever gone to. And especially being a 24hr clinic, surpassed any emergency clinic I've ever had to go through. 1000/10 recommend!

100% recommend! My Frenchie puppy fractured 2 bones & they were able to get him in & fixed quickly! Loved how Dr. Might called me before pups surgery & explained everything to me, then called me after the surgery & told me how everything turned out. Not to mention, Dr. technician texted me throughout the surgery & was keeping me updated! Do not regret anything about taking my pup to this vet. Thank you to the receptionists, technicians, and Dr. Might, they were all very nice and answered all my questions. My puppy is now home! :)

Review Summation: for emergency services, we waited two hours before getting help while being the only people in there. If it’s a real emergency, they will not have any sense of urgency for your pet.Full Review: I am not a person that leaves a bad review. I have sat on this experience for about two months and normally I wouldn’t say anything, but I realized that this could impact someone’s pet if they choose to go to this clinic for an emergency vet visit. My dog was acting weird at 6PM and you could tell he was in an extreme amount of pain. I called ahead and we were the only people that were at the clinic. After signing what felt like a dozen forms they finally checked my dog’s stomach and they mentioned it felt bloated. Fearing the worst (a stomach flip or something awful) we waited an hour and a half before a vet came into see us and another thirty minutes before they ‘prepared’ to sedate him. During this time my dog was shaking from being in so much pain and all I could hear were the technicians singing, laughing, and messing around in the back. I have never been so frustrated in my life. Not only did we wait 2 HOURS but in the meantime my dog wasn’t getting any type of pain medication (all while being the only people in there). If it had been a stomach flip, my dog would have been dead. I will never bring my dog back here. They clearly do not value urgency nor do they value the comfortability of animals.

I’ve been going here 15 years and it’s the same old thing. We call it the 3-4 visit vet. Always 3-4 $200 visits regardless of the issue. The place is a K9 money pit and they are constantly trying to sell product. Final straw this time was an ear fungal infection. 3 visits, no relief. I called and they want to see my dog a 4th time. Last year my dog spent 3 nites there. When we picked him up the DR said brace yourself, and dont be alarmed. Our dachshund's eye was swollen & blood red (nothing to do with his stay). They couldn't tell me what happened. No one. They "assumed" a crating injury We’re done.

My husband and I did not like how the Vet Tech poorly handled our dog (dragged him so hard on the floor) and how they did everything (exams/vaccinations) at the back. If we had known all that, we would never have brought our dog here. How would we know he is being examined and vaccinated? Also, the fact that our dog got dragged, you could have asked us to help you take our dog at your laboratory. Not only it's traumatizing for us, but for our dog too. We will never go back to this clinic again. NOT worth your money at all.

Heidi and Preston came to our home and helped us through a most difficult time with our sweet Foxy dog. Foxy has always been stressed when going to the vet and now that she was 15 and health failing rapidly, we opted to allow her comfort and peace (2 things she has always provided our family) as she was able to rest and pass away gently with us by her side in our home. When they arrived, Foxy was apprehensive but they took time to love on her and won her over. For anyone going through watching their pet suffer and afraid of proceeding to the next step, I highly recommend lakeway veterinarian clinic. They showed true compassion and explained things clearly as well as reassured us through the process. We are extremely sad but equally grateful.
