Other places were quick to kick my kid out because of his special needs, but Prinrose has been great since the first day and every dau. “My son started at the The Learning Experience last May and since then the center has taken in my son as one of their own. Every teacher has gotten to know my son and built a relationship with him. The director, Kristi, has been my saving grace when I had to transition back to work. “I spent a year and half researching and visiting schools from Flower Mound to Dallas to find the best preschool for our son to attend.

Without question DKH was the best school. That’s saying a lot as there are many excellent schools in our area.

What stood out the most to us:

1. The class sizes- smaller than other schools. There are a maximum of 12 kids (although we only had 10-11) and 2 teachers. We had our main teacher Mrs. Howell as well as the Spanish Immersion teacher Mrs. Trudeau assisting bringing the ratio down to 6:1.

2. The leadership- this is a female owned and led school. The level of organization and care they put into the curriculum, safety and social development of the kids is unparalleled. Nancy, Becky and Mrs. Howell are unwavering in their dedication towards doing what’s best for the kids. DKH has been around since 1979- 45 years of serving this community has given them an edge in understanding our community and the greater school district to which most of our kids will be entering.

3. Play based learning- Our priority was to expose our son to building a foundation for a love of learning and relationships with others. The play-based learning is inclusive, transcending language and other barriers that might affect learning outcomes making DKH an ideal place for all children.

I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience with DKH. Every time I walk through the doors I feel so thankful that we found this amazing school and that this where our son gets to begin his learning journey.

There is a Spanish program, an early reading program and extended day program. I’m particularly excited that my 4 year old will be in the reading program next year.

The community we’ve built at DKH extends beyond the classroom. We have regular play dates and get togethers with the families we’ve made friends with. They say it takes a village and we’re so proud this is ours.”

They know what’s going on with your family, genuinely care about your lives and they love these children like their own. They track everything, send beautiful photos of our kids, notate everything so you get an hour to hour update on your child. “It is about DAMN TIME that Denton have pizza like this. Traditional, fired at a bazillion degrees, delicious pizza. No hate to the other classics like Jonuzis or the Tomato to be clear but this is my absolute favorite way for pizza to be prepared. The crust is chewy and toothsome, the cheese is subtle and fresh, you can taste the tomatoes and basil without anything being overwhelming. This style of pizza is not the salty and greasy mess that most Americans have come to expect no no! It's light and delightful. This will immediately be added into the very limited rotation we have of places we actually eat. The rule in our house is: if we can cook it better, we usually won't bother eating there. And this is exceptional. Absolutely bravo. Additionally (and just as important) the staff are friendly, orders are punctual, the building is clean, and it's just a beautiful space. 10/10.”

“The moment we walked in, it felt like home. Our little guy, now almost 3 in a few months started a little over a month after he turned 2. It was a hard adjustment for both me and him but he adjusted quickly and now is a super talkative little guy who knows his colors both in English and Spanish! (we speak both at home) I must state that’s with him only going part-time! Mari is an incredible Director who’s dedication to the children and teachers shows in all that she does. Karla is the Teacher coordinator and such a breath of fresh air each morning, she is happy to see the kids. Our teachers (Marisol, Rafaela and Lorena) are incredible and truly treat the kids as their own. If you are questioning what’s your next step, take the step and sign up at SSH. It will be one of the best decisions you ever made for your little one’s early childhood development. :)”

“My daughter Isha has been with Castle Mound Montessori for 18 months in Primary group. I must say Isha loves going to school and enjoy all the activities in school like the circle time, gym, outside play time, computer lab time, music time not to forget the nap time too. Her learning progress is satisfying for we parents. She has developed a lot of good habits and has a good understanding of all that she is learning. Ms. Rinky has taken good effort in understanding her strengths when she joined and used them to teach everything Isha is capable of learning. We see a lot of improvement in her curriculum, discipline and other general knowledge.
