My car was definitely messed up, and the team at ACE auto did an awesome job fixing it; it drives like new! The staff was friendly, were bilingual, and I really appreciate how Jesse went out of his way to explain the mechanics of what was wrong; they even kept the broken parts and showed me after, which is definitely something that I’ve never had happen before. I appreciate the attention to detail, care, and awesome customer service! They are definitely the best auto shop in all of Laredo!

***UPDATE*** still negative stars 11/05/2024 I left my vehicle to get diagnosed at 1 pm and didn't even get a call to let me know what was wrong with the car. It was now 6:30 pm, so I called, and the owner answered the phone and told me my truck's AC compressor was terrible, to which I responded ok, so nobody was going to call me and let me know the finding or if I agreed to the services. His response was to tell me that's not how we do business. We don't call people with updates, and if you don't like to take your vehicle. So I immediately picked it up. I was upset at the rudeness and professionalism of the owner at his age, as well as the level of immaturity. God help him. I guess , the testosterone therapy, got to him. Do yourself a favor and get your diagnostic free at Auto Zone or Oreillys. While you are there, buy the parts as well. Save your money; this auto shop is overpriced. I found parts for my truck thermostat/ sensor for 80 dollars total. My bill at this shop was going to be 536.00. Over $400 in labor and $108 just for the diagnostic.

If you are a lady and you go there by yourself, Ace auto care shop will make your vehicle worse. It happened to me. Very disappointed, sad, and angry. I don't recommend this place if you are a girl looking for a car repair. Be very careful and consult first with your family members in order to find a trustworthy mechanic please. Ace is evil if you know nothing of car repairs especially with a naive and inexperienced in car repair woman like me.😔🤕🤕😪

If I could do a no star I would worst place to come to get your car looked at came in just to fix our tire rods walked out with so many more problems no matter how much we spoke to Rogelio about it he kept twisting and twisting the words pinpointing they only fixed one thing when in reality he’s not even watching his workers since they did an alignment they were not supposed to which then ruined our vehicle. We also noticed that the boot for the tire rod was completely off not even connected yet Rogelio “Zuniga” claimed it’s a very easy fix. Yet? They couldn’t do it that day when it was literally the only thing they were supposed to do? Makes absolutely no sense and I recommend if you're a girl do not come here alone he’s very disrespectful does not let you speak and just talks over you not letting you explain the issues you have with the car. Walked in for a “simple” fix of our tire rods on the passenger side and came out with the steering wheel just broken a loud thumping noise when driving, but when we brought it up he just kept repeating that all they did was the tire rod and that we needed to pin point whatever else they did so he can fix it horrible horrible shop to take you’re car to don’t trust them one bit with your vehicle they’re going to leave it in a much worse state

ACE IS NOT OUR FRIEND
Beware of this shop, my truck was in worse shape when I picked it up then when I initially dropped it off. They removed and replaced parts in my truck. They just left it on the street for me to pick up later. Chuy and his thieves dressed as mechanics work there. They picked my truck clean while waiting for my own actual repair. I took my vehicle a few months ago for a specific repair and after a month waiting to be completed right after it came out, I noticed and discovered that other parts had been tampered with or removed...... Solid engine mounts all broken which were perfectly fine before......cracked tension belts filled with dust were used to replace new ones my cuñado had installed just recently.......there's no way brand new tension belts should crack and be in that bad condition just being at a shop. AVOID THIS SHOP! I thought Chuy was a good guy who cared for veterans. I couldnt have been more wrong.

Totally @ their mercy once I arrived at their shop. After diagnosing my truck’s issues, a month later, I picked up my truck.
While my truck was in their care, over a thousand dollars of my own personal property, including a $700 mountain bike was stolen out of my truck. None of which they did anything to compensate me for!
About 10 miles later, my transmission which another shop completely rebuilt while I was still on active duty literally blew up in my face and I was left stranded at a rest stop. My transmission was not the problem when I left my truck with Chuy. It was something else. Like I said, they picked my truck clean. They stripped a brand new transmission clean!
As I mentioned before, I had numerous items and an expensive bicycle stolen from my truck while it was in their care. Like I said, none of which they compensated me for.
I’m glad I paid for a “warrantied” repair, in that I’m not supposed to be out anymore money, but what’s the deal!? I’m a nervous wreck, I can’t drive my truck with peace of mind, knowing it won’t break down on me again. I’ve always kept my truck serviced, up to date, new tires, alignment correction, shocks, oil changed, fluids topped off, etc...Unfortunately, with prolonged use, I guess transmission failure is inevitable. So, though not necessarily happy about the exorbitant cost, I willingly accepted the expensive repair cost that comes with vehicle maintenance. I can't drive my truck because the work that they didn't do included my GOOD transmission failing me!!!! WHY ON EARTH DOES MY TRANSMISSION NOW NEED FIXING!!?? I did the math and on top of the transmission itself, I’ve paid out another $200+ for fuel bus tickets and other travel expenses bringing my truck back to Chuy Auto or picking it up. NONE OF WHICH they’ve offered to compensate me anything for! Not only that, but I’ve authored multiple emails to the email address they provided me and not once have they replied! Perhaps it’s wrong to expect perhaps even a little special consideration considering everything I’ve been through, BUT AFTER ALL OF THIS, NONE AT ALL!!!??!?? I’m very disappointed and I’m still convinced though AceAuto assures me otherwise, now my transmission is busted.
Now, I’m having to reschedule my medical exam and family visitation. I’ve had to take another bus home and overall been very stressed out!
I merely asked them TO PLEASE CORRECTLY AND RELIABLY “FINISH” THE WORK. I gave Ace Auto the benefit of a doubt and asked them to ensure me their service was reliable and maybe somehow compensate me for all I’ve had to pay out for work they haven’t done to begin with and they’ve refused.
Let my own experience with misfortune caused by this shop be a lesson only for me to learn. Chuy and AceAuto on Saunders are dishonest.
