I have been with ATT for 20 years since they were Cingular Mobile. I have my cellular service with them and I use my credit card on file to get that additional discounts and don't have to worry about paying that bill (great convenience). After years of waiting for fiber internet, we finally got it in our neighborhood. A salesman came to our house, came in, offered them water because it was HOT outside, and treated them like neighbors. The salesman looked at my account and thanked me for being a loyal ATT customer and offered a great rate on 500gb internet as long as I pay it with a credit card. I said yes with a smile. After waiting a month, I got the service and so far life is great with AT&T. So I'm thinking, since AT&T has been so GOOD and HONEST with us let me ask them what it would cost to go with DirectTV. I go to the store on McPherson and Delmar and asked the YOUNG salesperson what it would cost. The YOUNG man looked at my account, saw how I am paying my bill with them, and told me after all the discounts I could get a discount that I would end up paying ABOUT $56.00 plus tax. Looking at my YOUTUBETV bill which I was paying $72.00 a month everything included, I thought saving an additional $10.00 dollars is a good thing, based on(the lies) what the YOUNG salesperson told me. I agreed and signed believing the YOUNG man( I felt the mini me inside me telling me to get it in writing. Something smelled fishy). I discontinued YOUTUBETV which I was paying $72.00 a month taxes included and got my first DirecTV bill of $86.00 which was activation and some other mambojumbo based on what the kid told me(I get it). I get my other bill and it is still at $86.00, and now I'm upset(The Kid got me). I didn't want to call the store at McPherson and Delmar because I know they were going to give me the runaround, so I called ATT directly and was told too bad, that I was screwed. If I want out of the contract that I was lied to about, I would need to pay $486.00. Sadly AT&T salespeople at this location will get you if they can, so listen to your inner self and get everything in writing. I miss my YouTube for $72.00 that I canceled because of the lies of the salesperson at McPherson and Delmar. (shoppers BEWARE)ATT be HONEST with your customers and keep your WORD.
