I had a fantastic experience with this car rental company! From start to finish, the customer service was absolutely top-notch — friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. The guy Brandt
made the entire process smooth and stress-free, which I really appreciated.
The vehicle itself was spotless, well-maintained, and a pleasure to drive. It looked and felt like new, which made my trip even more enjoyable. Everything was ready on time, and returning the car was just as easy as picking it up.
Highly recommend this company if you're looking for reliable service and a clean, quality vehicle. I’ll definitely be renting from them again!

Worst rental experience of my life!! I usually always go with Avis because of their nicer fleet but the owner of this location will add every charge possible to your final bill. I was charged a smoking fee for no reason $450 (I don’t smoke) , $20 in gas even though I filled up at the closet gas station (tank was not even full when I got it) also a late fee for dropping the car off earlier than I booked the reservation for but this location has the worst hours for an intl airport. Be careful renting from the Laredo Intl airport location!

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding a recent rental experience that fell far below the level of service I have come to expect as a frequent customer.
During a trip with my two young daughters, I was provided a vehicle that had multiple warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. This caused significant concern, as it made me question the vehicle’s reliability and whether it would even restart if turned off. As a result, I felt unsafe stopping the vehicle, which created a very stressful situation—especially during necessary restroom or rest breaks, where I could not comfortably leave the car unattended with my children.
Additionally, the air conditioning system was not functioning properly. The airflow was inconsistent, failing to cool the cabin adequately, which only worsened the discomfort during our travel.
I have rented from Avis numerous times in the past and have always had a smooth, professional experience. Unfortunately, this particular rental was highly inconvenient and disappointing, especially considering the responsibility I carried traveling alone with children.

I rented from Avis on a government contract for travel. My flight was scheduled to land at 5:59pm. My rental car pick up was for 5:59pm. When I arrived at the counter it was dark and no one was there. I asked the Enterprise desk - which had a long line of customers what happened and they said the Avis employees left. Even though they knew my plane was landing. I called Avis customer service and the representative said it was my fault because Avis closed at 6pm. I didn’t know that. It’s dishonest to accept a rental contract with a 5:59pm pick up and close the counter and walk away at 6:00pm. What a scam.

I picked up a vehicle with the agent named brian. he was super helpful and kind. he let me know about local restaurants to go and was just giving amazing customer service! unfortunately there was an older lady in front of me that was just cussing him out. he took care of it in a very professional way. once she left he attended me and got me out in a rental quick. will be renting with brian more😊 thank you avis/budget staff!!

I am a regular customer and I must say I am surprised by some of the reviews I am seeing because this is a great office with very friendly staff. I never had to wait for longer than I expected to receive service or get my rental. They were always able to accommodate me even when I made a reservation on a very short notice. In the rare occasion that a staff member is not at the desk, there is a clear sign that is placed that says they're in the lot and that they'll be right back. Overall, I am extremely satisfied by the service they provide and all their staff members, especially Estela.

Prepaid for a car for pickup yesterday. Landed at the airport and proceeded to the counter to get on my way. No one was at the counter. Asked the enterprise rental folks when they were coming back, they stated they were gone for the day. What a lovely experience after a flight. Had to call and cancel and rent from enterprise. Trying to cancel through the Avis app said I was going to get no money back from prepaid total. Called and apparently I will get a refund in 3-5 days.

Rental Hours state from 9am-5pm on website. I had my original flight get in at 3pm for my rental pickup. I called ahead because with flight delays I would get here at 9pm. It took me 1.5 hours to get through to a person at the airport on the phone who assured me my car would be here when I arrived even if no one was at the counter. I get here and no one is here. I’m stranded at an airport at 9pm

The desk is supposed to open at 9 am and it's 27 after and no one is here. Also the Kia Soul kept shuddering for the week I had it. Don't recommend. Enterprise/national was staffed.
